"Is Loca ready to invade the base?" Blue asks
"I don't think so, maybe she is, haven't talked to her" Cipher answers
"What'd you see in there?" Yami asks
"Alright, so the hostages are in 3 rooms, 2 guards in each room, the guards have cameras on both of them and wires along their necks, their armor was heavily plated, there's at least 15 hostages per room, the hostage rooms are marked with yellow and red doors, then, when you see a staircase, that's the main office where the hostage of the day is, the one we're trying to save, and then you've got the way to the cannon on top of the base, the cannon is freaking huge-if you can't see it from here, the captain of the invasion is in the office, but there are a crapton of guards around there too, not to mention the armory, the armory is marked with a black door, it's got god knows how many guns and bombs in there, the other rooms aren't that important, but there's like 50 rooms in that place, no exaggeration or anything" Cipher maps out
"Got it..." Yami looks down, thinking
"You don't expect to go in there by yourself, do you?" The woman asks
"OH, HELL YEAH, LET'S GO" Blue yells, putting her arms up
"They've got vital sensors, if their temperature goes cold, it'll be alerted, probably meaning that they kill the hostages and look everywhere for an intruder" Yami looks at the base
"So we can't get the hostages out of there?" Cipher asks
"We need a distraction, not a big one, but one that causes them to have just enough attention away from the hostages, or we could do plan 2, my opinion, the one I like more" Yami starts
"Go ahead" The woman crosses her arms
"Yeah, this sounds promising" Blue listens to Yami
"Plan B is we disconnect the vital machine, maybe rebooting the whole system, Cipher, did you see any generators?" Yami asks
"Yeah, a huge one in the basement, waterproof and made from a bunch of metals" Cipher answers
"How'd you know it was waterproof?" Blue asks
"Because I saw this one guy accidentally spill tea on it, it didn't blow up" Cipher answers
"...Alright, if we're getting this base back then we've gotta short-circuit the computer in the office, then we go in each hostage room, kill the guards, get the hostages to safety then kill everyone else, sound good?" Yami asks
"Gonna pass it by Loca first, don't do anything" The woman taps the side of her head and walks off
"I guess we should do some introductions, yeah?" Blue asks
"Is she gonna point a gun to my head again?" Yami asks
"That was like five minutes ago, it's long past" Blue rolls her eyes
"I'm Yami" Yami cracks her back
"Cool, I'm Hex, you can call me whatever the hell you want, the other chick is Hyper, don't call her shorty or else she'll rip your arm off and beat you with it" Blue laughs
"She's done that to you?" Yami asks
"Yeah, how'd you guess?" Hex asks
"You've got bruising around your shoulder" Yami points
"Thanks to Loca, it healed up good" Hex rolls her shoulder
"Sounds like a mage" Yami nods
"She's great at basically everything, I'll be honest" Cipher chuckles
"Yeah" Hex agrees
"She's cool with the plan and'll be here in a bit" Hyper comes back to them
"Will they be safe here?" Yami asks
"Probably not" Hex answers
"Let's go get that base back" Cipher starts walking
Yami starts dragging their bodies into bushes and places out of sight
"So much easier with thumbs..." Yami murmurs
"You really care about them, huh?" Hex smiles
"I care about Flake and Metal, that's all" Yami answers
"Is there a safe route to the computer?" Hyper asks
"Yeah, I can turn you guys invisible" Cipher disappears
"Sorry about knocking out your friends"
"It's alright, I get it"
"And I'm sorry for almost getting you killed"
"One thing at a time"
They walk into the building and up the stairs
Cipher steps through a large wooden door, cautious of the guards around him
"Go, go, go"
Yami, Hex, and Hyper rush in as the door shuts behind Cipher
"Hm?" A man with glasses on looks up from his desk
"We should be good" Hyper nods
"What?" Yami asks
"Wow, you're fast" Cipher laughs
The man falls from his chair
"Hyper, you kill the guards and get the hostages, this is a great use for your power" Cipher nudges her
"Yeah, yeah" Hyper practically disappears
"...The f#ck?" Yami looks at the door
"Oh yeah, you know how I have invisibility?" Cipher asks
"This is so f*cking cool" Hex picks up a grenade launcher hung up on the wall
"Hyper has a fitting name, she's got super-speed, I just feel like Hypervelocity is cooler to say though" Cipher explains
"That...cool, so does Hex have a power too?" Yami asks
"Yeah" Hex chuckles mischievously
"Hex has one, yet multiple powers, it's hard to explain" Cipher squints
"You know Brown-Recluse?" Hex asks
"You mean Black Widow?" Yami asks
"Different planets" Cipher explains
"True" Yami nods
"Hex can blow crap up and is great with prokinetics, but she can sometimes get a gut feeling of the future, and she can do black magic with shadows and that stuff, well I guess she can, I've never seen her do it, but I've seen her blow stuff up from her palms" Hyper kicks her feet up on the desk, sitting in the dead guy's chair
"So you killed those six guys and got the hostages safe?" Cipher asks
"I can do black magic..." Hex takes the shotgun off her back
"The only magic I've seen you do is survive this long" Hyper takes a sip of a McDonald's Sprite
"Good point" Hex chuckles, merging the shotgun with...the other shotgun
Yami smiles, watching Hex
"I guess we've got a bloodbath downstairs" Cipher smiles
"I'M IN, LET'S GO" Hex loads the ultra shotgun
"Can I just stay here and take a quick nap?" Hyper asks
"You worked hard today, sure" Yami nods
"Yay..." Hyper gets more comfortable...somehow
"PAINT THE TOWN RED, B*TCHES" Hex kicks down the door
"INTRUDER, THERE IS AN INT-" A guard shout
Hex shoots the guard down
"One-woman wrecking crew" Yami walks down the stairs
"You can say that again" Cipher laughs as guards flood the floor
"YEAH, MY LUCKY STRIKE" Hex starts singing while brutally dismembering guards
Yami gets PTSD for a minute
"Are you...okay?" Cipher asks
"Don't worry about it let's-let's go" Yami shakes her head
Cipher nods
Yami starts shooting with a stolen gun, bullets fly all around
Cipher stabs necks, arms, and anything that he can in a close proximity
At one second, Hex has a shotgun, another moment, she's got two shotguns and out of nowhere that woman has a mini-gun
"I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR WEEKS, THE BLOOD. FEELS. SO. GOOD" Hex yells
Yami winds up a swing with an AK
She knocks a helmet (and a head) off a guard
The walls turn into a paste of red
Before they know it, the base is completely emptied, leaving only one thing left...
The thing they forgot
"Are there any more?" Cipher asks, flicking off a piece of a brain from his cheek
"I think we're done" Hex nods
"...OH SH*T" Yami yells, running outside
"What'd we..." Cipher slowly looks at the roof
"THE CANNON" Hex charges outside
Cipher disappears
A ray of plasma zooms through the roof
"HOW THE HELL DO WE DISABLE THAT THING?" Yami yells
"I don't think WE need to" Hyper smiles
The cannon charges up another blast, facing right at them...but then it powers down
"Is it...off?" Yami asks
A tall figure, covered in head to toe in black, black hood and all drops down from the top of the cannon
"That's Loca" Hyper puts her hand on her hip
"You guys alright?" The woman asks...a familiar tone
"Thanks, you really saved our a$$es" Cipher puts his arm around her
"No problem, I bet you guys had a great time killing those motherf#ckers" She smiles
"Hex was...Hex" Cipher chuckles
"Hehe, yeah" Hex licks blood off her arm
"Just another step to stopping this whole thing" She looks at the sky
"...Just my imagination" Yami shakes her head
"What's wrong?" Hyper asks her
Yami shakes her head
The woman turns to Yami, her head tilted slightly
"...Are you two having a moment? I can leave if you want" Cipher stares at them
"Boss, you alright?" Hex asks
The woman slowly takes off her hood, revealing a tanned face, black hair with green highlights
"Wait...Is...is it really-really you?" The woman asks, shocked
"...A-Alayna" Yami watches her in awe
