"Let's go" Hoody disappear
"I CAN-" Yami starts
They appear inside a large building, scientists start to crowd around something
"What's happening?" Yami points
"I...don't know" Hoody stares
Murmurs surge through the crowd
"Buck, I've got clear orders not to hit you, so I ain't, just walk away" Someone says
"YOU'RE THE REASON MY WHOLE CREW GOT KILLED, YOU DISGRACE TO MANKIND" Someone else yells
Yami shoves her way through the crowd
She stares at a robot backing away from a human man
"I TRIED TO SAVE THEM, HELL, I WATCHED LEPHT DIE IN MY ARMS, I did my best to help them...it's my fault they're dead and that's my burden to carry, I don't want to fight still" The robot shakes his head
"AND I WANTED MY MEN ALIVE, GUESS WE DON'T ALWAYS GET WHAT WE WANT" The man's arm turns into a large sword
He charges at the robot
"Buck, I see you met our new friend" Hoody restrains the man with his scythe
"Boss" The robot salutes
"B-boss" Buck stands down, saluting as well
"What'd I miss?" Hoody asks
"Sir, I led Buck's men to their deaths, we tried to infiltrate the gear's base, but we were not successful, I was the only one left, I am just recovering from being in the medical bay" The bot doesn't make eye-contact
"And why were you assaulting him?" Hoody slowly turns to Buck
"Sir, I have no excuse, in the heat of the moment, the anger rushed to my head, I apologize...Maggie was on the mission as well" Buck tries to stay composed
"Oh...I see...I'm sorry for your loss" Hoody shakes his head
"What ever punishment you give me, I will agree to it" Buck agrees
"Well...Lane, what are your thoughts?" Hoody asks
"Hey, that's the guy" Alayna points at the robot with her bottle
"My thoughts?" Lane asks
"Yes, I'd like your input, did he majorly injure or hurt you?" Hoody asks
"No, he did not" Lane answers
"What do you think his punishment should be? Or we can leave him off the hook if you want" Hoody shrugs
"Please don't, I d-" Buck starts to say
"He's off the hook, sir, my final answer" Lane states
"Well, Buck, mercy shined on you today...hopefully it stays like that for you" Hoody squints
"Yes sir" Buck declares
"Everyone dismissed, except Lane, private information" Hoody looks around
The crowd scatters, along with Buck
"Yami, there's someone I want you to meet" Hoody looks at her
"You're Lane, aren't you?" Yami asks
"Right, but you seem like you already know me, have we met?" Lane asks
"Nope, I just know you're good with swords and snipers" Yami explains
"You did your homework, but you might wanna add explosives to my dossier too" Lane laughs
"Lane is the state-of-the-art robot Bioware's built, we added as much as we could to him, but he doesn't want more than what he's got right now, one of few people I respect" Hoody states
"Aww, you flatter me, sir" Lane's eye turns into a heart
"So, how do you work? Computer intelligence to one big computer, or what?" Yami asks
"Actually, I've got the brain of a farmer in my head" Lane answers
"Really? Not a soldier's or anything?" Yami asks
"I'm bullsh!tting you, I've got a mini-computer in my br-...head...thingy, I know what I am but I'm hard to explain to other people" Lane's eye turns into a question mark
"You know, I think you and Metal would really hit it off" Yami grins
"Metal? Huh, I'll keep that in mind-brain-chip, you know" Lane sighs
"So you're part of the resistance? One of the main ones?" Yami questions
"D*mn, how did you know that?' Lane asks
"I've got some sources" Yami taps her head
"Better than mine, but yeah, I am one of them, we're a little group led by this chick Infinite, and we may be small, but small c*cks can still have good sex" Lane explains
Alayna just stares at him
Yami lets out a chuckle
"Sex humor, noted" Lane's eye turns into a waving pencil
"Once you get done here, meet me across the hall, second door on your right, I need to show you something else" Hoody walks off
"So, you know about me, what about you? What makes you tick?" Lane asks
"I'm Yami, I grew up around violence, that's all I'm willing to tell you for now" Yami explains
"I like that name, luckily I've got a built-in translator" Lane's eye turns into a book
"You know, it's weird, it seems like everyone I meet can understand every f#cking language, you're the only one where it actually makes sense with...and maybe Troy, I guess" Yami sighs
"Would you mind if I gave you a nickname?" Lane suggests
"Maybe, unless it's a name like "kitty pretty sexy itty bitty b!tch" or something like that" Yami crosses her arms
"D*mnit..." Lane murmurs
Yami grins
"Well uhh...how about S.M Tsuki?" Lane asks
"Huh?" Yami tilts her head
"Sergeant Major Tsuki, d*mn, he likes you, highest rank a commissioned soldier can get" Alayna laughs
"Oh yeah, you were in the military, weren't you?" Yami remembers
"Do you like it, ma'am?" Lane asks
"I think you're giving me too much credit" Yami shakes her head
"I believe you deserve it, you're definitely not someone I'd want on my bad side" Lane laughs
"You know what, f*ck it, sure" Yami shrugs
"Yes, Sgt.M. Tsuki" Lane salutes
"You know what about just Tsuki?" Yami asks
"If that's what you prefer" Lane sighs, his eye turning into a sad face
"I better get back to Hoody, I'll see you around" Yami smiles
"See you, Tsuki" Lane waves
