Chapter 33

Dean was messing around on the piano as Nova walked up and poured some more alcohol in his cup.

"You actually okay?"

"No, not exactly." He smirked then he sighed, "Hiya Sam."

Nova quickly turned around and sighed, "I'll let you two talk."

"Nova? What are you doing here?"

"What do you care?" She set the bottle of alcohol down on the bar and walked out.

She walked a few blocks then decided to go back but be time she got back she noticed Dean fighting with some guy. She smirked as she crossed her arm and watched him kick the guys ass.

But all is a sudden she noticed Sam walking up behind him with a flask.

"Dean!" She called out.

Before he could react Sam was throwing holy water on him and then handcuffed him.

"Why did you do that?" Nova stormed over.

"Stop! Its over!" He yelled at Dean, ignoring her.

Dean just groaned and glared at his brother. All of a sudden Sam threw holy water at her.

"Seriously? I'm not a demon too."

"Can't be too cautious. I mean it makes sense why you are with him and started to defend him." Sam groaned as he put Dean in the backseat of the car.

"If you're asking for a reason I owe you none Sam! You walked out on me. So don't you forget that! You acted like you forgave me then disappeared without one word to me then didn't even answer my phone calls."

"I tried calling you back and you ignored my call too."

"You called me one time, one time that's it, where as I called you multiple."

"I see I popped in during a lovers quirrel." Crowley smirked.

Nova rolled her eyes and walked away. After Sam was done talking to Crowley he walked over to her.

"You coming with? I'm taking him back to the bunker."

"Why would I want to go with you?"

"Please? If not for me, at least for Dean. Maybe you can help with him. Seems you two have gotten close."

"We've always been close." She stated as she got into the passenger seat.

"So, you two together as a couple now?"

Nova shook her head as Dean rolled his eyes, "Why do you care?"

Before Sam could come back at him Nova spoke up, "I wouldn't exactly call us a couple."

"Oh don't lie to Ole Sammy here. Tell him the truth about us."

"The truth?" Sam glanced over at Nova. "So you two are together now huh?"

"Well, its not really any of your business."

Sam started to say something but Dean spoke up before he could, "Don't beat around the bush, I know I have jumped into that bush and it was nicely trimmed."

"Dean!" Nova snapped.

Sam gripped the steering wheel tighter, "Wow." He shook his head, "So you two have been hooking up."

"So what? We aren't together anymore. I'm an adult with needs." She spat out.

"But with my brother?!"

"I told you it's none of your business." She shrugged, crossing her arms, "And so its not like I cheated on you with your brother."

"So was this before or after you knew about the mark and the fact it made him a demon?"

"Oh it was both Sammy, and we both enjoyed every minute of it." Dean sneered which made Nova look down and blush remembering the things they did.

It was a quiet ride for a while, until Sam spoke up again.

"This thing is filthy."

"Is just a car Sam."

"Is just a... car." Sam repeated then scoffed, "Wow. You really have gone dark."

"Yeah especially for him to say that about baby." She shook her head.

Dean scoffed, "You have no idea."

"You know what Dean? I saw what happened back there. You could have killed that guy, and you didn't. You took mercy on him."

"You call that mercy?" Nova started to say something but Dean continued, "Imagine you spend your whole life hunting down the guy that knifed your father. When you finally find him... he whips you like a dog." He chuckles "How do you think that feels?"

"Yeah, you did kick his ass. He tried so hard and failed miserably." She smirks.

Dean nodded with a grin, "That kid's gonna spend his whole life knowing he had his shot and that he couldn't beat me. That ain't mercy. That's the worst thing I could have done to him. And what I'm gonna do to you, Sammy... well, that ain't gonna be mercy either."

"Dean." She looked at him and shook her head.

"And why do you care? You said it yourself he hurt you by walking out." Dean smirked.

Nova noticed Sam glance over at her but she avoided eye contact, "Doesn't mean he deserves physical hurt from his own brother."

Once they got back to the bunker they tied Dean to a chair on the devils trap.

"Let me do it." She said referring to trying to cure Dean.

"No, no its something I need to do myself."

"But Sam."

"No buts Nova. I'm doing this."

"Fine." She starts to walk away.

"Yeah, walk away like you do when things don't go your way."

She turned around and walked back up to him, "You seriously talking about me walking away? You have no room to talk." She smacks him hard across the face. "You're the one who walked out on me, Sam! You made me believe we were fine and then you walked out on me without even having the guts to say goodbye. You just abandoned me." She roared through her tears, "You know how it feels to know the love of my life just gave up on me, up on us?"

"I know and I'm sorry. I just wasn't thinking clearly. It wasn't my intention to hurt you. And I really am sorry. And I do still care about you, even after you two got together."

She scoffed with an eye roll, "Please, him and me, aren't anything. Hell I think he was just using me and honestly I think part of me was just using him to try to fill a void." She shrugged, "But that doesn't matter. We are both adults even though one of us was not fully in their head. Speaking of him, go deal with Dean." She points to the door.

He starts to open the door but looks at her, "Will you do one thing though?"

"And what's that?"

"Can you please find it in your heart to forgive me."

She sighs, rubbing her fingers on her forehead, "Even if I do Sam, it's going to take some time. You broke my heart yet again, first with the cheating with that vet, and now the walking away."

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah me too." She nods and walks away before he could see the tears fall.
