Chapter 46

Months later Sam and Dean found a case, they tried to get Nova to go with but she didn't want to go.

Hours later after they left she got hungry and realized that the bunker had hardly any food. So, she decided to go shopping for supplies.

After she got back and put everything away she cooked herself some loaded nachos and washed it down with a beer.

A couple days later, she started to read but decided she didn't want to stay around the Bunker anymore. Nova then decided to go the bar, so she got ready and headed out.

She spent a couple hours there and as she was leaving she felt a presence following her so she glanced over her shoulder and noticed there was in fact someone following her. She slowly reached into the inner pocket of her jacket as she walked and pulled out her knife. She quickly turned around holding the why knife out.

"Who are you and why are you following me?"

"Oh don't you worry your pretty little head who I am. As for why I'm following you." He clicked his tongue, "You smell so good, and I'm sure you'll taste so good." He licked his lips and showed off his teeth, which showed he was a vampire.

"Well good luck with that buddy." She smirked, "I'm not your typical weak girl."

Right as he came towards her, she realized all she had on her was her knife. She groaned and was able to stab him but he just laughed, pulled the knife out then grabbed her. As she fought with him, he bit her and started draining her.

As he was doing so someone came up behind him pulled him off her and killed the vamp.

Nova looked up at her savior and breathed out, "Claire."

"Nova? Hold on, we're going to get you help."

"No, he took too much. Call Sam, tell him I'm sorry and I love him." She then passed out.

Claire called for ambulance and then called Sam and Dean. But unfortunately Nova didn't make it so no one could save her.

Sam took it the hardest. He hated that they couldn't save her. He moped around the Bunker for about a week. Then him and Dean set out and took out the rest of the vamps nest as revenge.

Years later when the gates of hell opened and let some spirits out, Nova was one of them that escaped. She don't know how she even ended up in hell in the first place. And it wasn't like she was killed by a hellhound because of a crossroad demon.

She spent the next week trying to contact Sam and Dean in her ghost form but was always failing at doing so. Until one day she was finally able to succeed. Sam was on a jog and she was able to show herself to him.

"N-Nova?" He asked confused.

"Hi baby." She smiled.

"How?" He asked as she walked over to him.

"I don't know." She frowns and tries to touch his face but her hand goes right through him, "I wish I could hug you. I've missed you so much."

"Me too, I've missed you so much too. Come on, maybe we can find some answers with Dean's help."

Pretty soon they were at the bunker. Sam clears his throat and calls out for Dean who then walks into the library.

"Nova?!"

"Hiya Dean-o." He goes to hug her but she stops him, "That won't work. I'm a freakin' ghost."

"Wait, how? Where have you been?"

"Well, long story short. When that vamp killed me, somehow instead of going to heaven I was sent to hell."

"But why? You didn't make no deal with any crossroad demon, and even then it wasn't a hellhound that killed you."

"And how do you know? Maybe that's how I made you two fall in love with me, is I made a deal with a demon." She winked with a smile.

"Oh great, you've got jokes. Even as a ghost you're a smartass." Dean chuckled, with Sam chuckling with him.

"I mean, I'd rather be a smartass then dumbass." She tried to laugh but it didn't come out. "So, uh, me being sent to hell was a mistake. I don't belong there, when I seen the gates opened, I took the opportunity and escaped. I've been on my own for a while, trying to contact you guys. I don't know how this whole ghost thing works but I think I'm finally getting it under control. I just know, I can't stay here as much as I would love to. Because the things we've learned, that ghosts eventually turn evil." She sighs.

"Unfortunately." Sam nods.

"With all your guys connections to angels. It's there any way possible you guys or maybe even Cass, puts in a good word to get me upstairs where I belong? I mean it worked for Bobby."

Dean sighs, "Unfortunately that's not how it works anymore, souls from hell can't go to heaven. A friend of ours just found that out. Things have changed so much since you've been gone. I'm sorry."

"I see." She sighs with a nod, "I'm sorry too."

Dean walked out so Sam followed him out. Nova sighed again and looked around not knowing what to do now.

"Are we sure this is going to work?" Nova asked, referring to a spell that's supposed to bring someone whose dead, back to life.

"Only way to find out." Sam shrugged one shoulder.

"So I get in the tub of water and-"

"And I read the spell." Sam finished as he pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket.

She gets all the way into the water so he starts reading the spell. After he was done, they almost didn't think it worked until she needed to come up for air. When she sat up she took in a deep breath, let it out then looked at her hands with a smile. She then realized she was naked so she stood up wrapped a towel around her body and stepped out of the tub. She grinned as she hugged Sam.

"It worked, it really worked." She beamed.

Sam was speechless as he smiled and hugged her tightly. He then pulled her away slightly, placed his hands on her checks and they kissed passionately. Moments later they broke away and both happily sighed.

"Where's Dean? We should go tell him."

"We should but first things first." He cleared his throat, "You need clothes."

"Oh, right."

He intertwined their fingers together, "Comes on, you're clothes are still in the dresser." He looked her to the room they once shared.

"You didn't pack up my stuff?"

"I, uh, I couldn't bring myself to do it."

After she got dressed they went and found Dean to let him know that the spell worked.
