The sound of music was heard even before they entered the hospital. Jongho told everyone to keep quiet before he opened the door. The door opened to reveal a tall guy sitting at the end of the room, playing a guitar and singing in a very sweet voice. Seonghwa didn't have enough time to admire his song, he noticed the same golden hair again.

Hongjoong was sitting on a nearby stool, scribbling in what looked like a notebook. He was swaying on his sides, in sync with Yunho's song.

Jongho gestured them to settle down, the patients were lying on the beds. Seonghwa recognised the guy they had seen earlier on the stretcher. He saw Jongho go over to him, and unwind the bandages. Jongho did it with such a professional stance that Seonghwa couldn't help but admire.

They all settled down, Yunho saw and give each of them a smile while singing. Seonghwa went over to Hongjoong, who still hadn't noticed them come, he was too busy in that little notebook of his. Seonghwa went closer and realised that it was actually a sketchbook, Hongjoong was sketching a person.
"Hey." Seonghwa said.
Hongjoong saw and haphazardly closed his sketchbook and gave Seonghwa one of his quickly made smiles.
"Oh hi! You here?" Hongjoong whispered.
"Um, yeah, for the music." Seonghwa pointed at Yunho.
Hongjoong nodded at him.
"Uh, um you draw?" Seonghwa asked, still curious about the now closed sketchbook.
"Oh yes! I love drawing. I am more into painting though." Hongjoong said.
"Yeah, I can see that." Seonghwa said, pointing at Hongjoong's arm, which had blue paint smeared on it.
"Yeah." Hongjoong smiled.
Seonghwa didn't have much to say, so he directed his attention towards the song Yunho had started singing.
"Well, you done done me in, you bet I felt it" Yunho was singing.
"I tried to be chill, but you're so hot that I melted."
"I fell right through the cracks,
Now I'm trying to get back."
Seonghwa got why the others said he was good. Yunho sang as if he was singing for the first time, giving it his all.
"Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest"
Seonghwa looked at Hongjoong, who had resumed his swaying, and was now paying attention to the singer. Seonghwa once again couldn't help but stare. His golden hair dimly reflected the light from the torches, his green crown only enhanced the beauty. His enjoyment was slightly visible in his beautiful eyes, as his head nodded with every strum of the guitar. Though not everything about him was perfect, one sleeve of his robe was rolled up, where the smeared paint was visible. The other sleeve, however, was falling beneath his wrist, covering half of his hand. Seonghwa saw the ink on his hands, the thing you get when you write too much with gel pens, you know. Perfect, with all his imperfections, Seonghwa thought.

Before Seonghwa knew it, Yunho's song was already coming to an end.
"Are they asleep?" Yunho whispered, gesturing towards the patients.
"I guess they are." Jongho told him.
"Then I'll go! I have some reading to do, unless you guys want to listen something?" Yunho said.
"Oh yes! Can you play-" Wooyoung started saying.
"You can go, Yunho, it's late." Yeosang said.
Yunho let out a laugh, "Tomorrow Wooyoung, I'll play your song tomorrow. Bye!"
"Bye!"
Wooyoung made a face at Yeosang, "You're so boring."
"What boring? Didn't you hear he was busy?" Yeosang said.
"Guys, out of the hospital please." Jongho said.
Hongjoong grabbed his sketchbook and stood up, "Well, you gonna sleep?"
"Uh, yes. Why?" Seonghwa asked.
"I was going to the library, to do some homework." Hongjoong said.
"Oh, I can come if-"
"No, it's just your first day, it's okay, we can um, meet tomorrow?"
"Uh, yes! Sure!"
"Good night then."
"Good night."

They parted ways.

"Are you sure he's just a friend?" Wooyoung said.
Seonghwa was confused at first, but then he saw Wooyoung's teasing smirk.
"It's not what you think." Seonghwa told him.
Seonghwa bid the others goodbye too, and headed to the water lounge.

When he entered the dorms, he saw Mingi lying on his bed, already in his pyjamas. His golden rimmed glasses a little tilted, eyes concentrated on the book he was reading. He sat up when he saw Seonghwa.
"You had no homework to do boy." Seonghwa said.
Mingi smiled, "Just one day, and you know me so well."
"Whatever." Seonghwa said as he took out his pyjamas and exited the dorms to change.

When he came back, Mingi was still busy reading. However, he closed his book when he saw Seonghwa lay down. Mingi turned in his bed, to face Seonghwa. His glasses tilted more at the action. He took them off.
"What song did he sing? I'm yours by Jason Mraz?" Mingi asked.
Seonghwa gasped, "Woah, yes."
Mingi smiled and nodded.
"You guys used to be friends, right?" Seonghwa asked.
"Can I lie?" Mingi asked.
"Yes." Seonghwa said.
"No, we weren't friends." Mingi said.
Seonghwa smiled at him, "What happened then?"
Mingi sighed, "Well, him and I joined the camp together, like you and Wooyoung, we knew each other in the normal world too."
Seonghwa turned over too, to show he was paying attention.
"Well, then this one competition happened to take place, we fought with each other and we haven't been the same since." Mingi said.
"When was that?" Seonghwa asked.
"About two years ago? I don't know." Mingi said.
"Uh, huh." Seonghwa noised.
"Well, I don't care much now." Mingi said.
"Yeah, and still remember what he liked singing, great." Seonghwa said.
"That's just a distant memory." Mingi told him.
"Whatever."
