The Cavalry Battle!

Cavalry Battle...?!

"Eh? I don't know how I'll do in those things..." I muttered. "I'm sure we'll do fine," Kirishima encouraged.
I nodded and returned a smile.

"Let me explain. The participants can form teams of two to four people as they wish. It's basically the same as a regular cavalry battle, but one different thing is...based on the results of the last game, each person has been assigned a point value." Midnight explained.

"A point-based system like the entrance exam, huh? That's easy to understand." Sato said.
"In other words, each team is worth different points depending on who's on the team!" Uraraka said.
"I see!" Mina said.

"You guys don't hold back even though I'm talking, huh?! Yes, that's right! And the points assigned go up by five starting from the bottom. Yes, that's right! and the points assigned go up by five starting from the bottom. So 42nd place gets five points, and 41st gets ten points!" Midnight finished.

So...I got 560 points, that's a lot.

"And the point value assigned to the first place is...ten million!" Midnight announced
"T-Ten million?!" Midoriya gasped in shock.
We all looked at him. If we beat him...then that means we'd get first place no matter what!

It's survival of the fittest.

After Midnight had explained the rules of the game and the chatter among the students died down, she added that during the game, it'll be a cruel fight where we could use your quirks. But since it's still a cavalry battle. We'd get a red card for attacks that are trying to make people fall on purpose and get eliminated immediately.
"Damn it." I heard Bakugo mutter.

Suddenly, a 15-minute timer popped up on the screen. "Now, you have fifteen minutes to build your teams. Start!" She announced.
We all scattered around, chatter filling my ears.

Then, there were quite many people swarming around me, asking to team up. I moved a little and got a sight of Kirishima and Bakugo looking at each other competitively. Guess they're teaming up-

"Hey, let's team up!" Rui said.
"Yeah," Haruka smiled. "We'd make a good team."
I nodded and then looked at the pair, "With all our long-ranged combat quirks and our defense...we'd be quite formidable. Yes! This can work!"

What a team. A group of students who can both attack and defend.
But I can't get cocky.

"I think Kanami should be on the top, her quirk has the most advantages," Haruka suggested, "Rui and I can be the horses! I could create a creature that could help us move around and use a hydra to steal headbands."
"Good idea. If I use my quirk I can protect any of us from any opponents who want to take our headbands." Rui added.
"Then it's settled! We got this!" I said happily.

"Yea!" We all cheered together, again.

I looked around the field and noticed Satoshi talking with a pink-haired girl probably from his class from afar, including Uraraka and Midoriya. Immediately, I turned away.
Is he really gonna risk losing that many points? If he does end up with that group then that means I'd face him.

Suddenly, the alarm blared. It was time for the cavalry battle.
We got into position and I tied the headband around my head that had the number 560 on it.

"All right! You've made your teams, right? I'm not going to ask if you are ready or not! Now, let's go! Counting down to the brutal battle royal! Three! Two! One!" Present mic started.

Midnight swiped her whip down sharply, "Start!"

We all started rushing forward. Well, for my team, I made us get onto a big platform so that our energy can be saved up.
