25 - sunrise

I woke up and the sun looked like it was already setting. Did I sleep through the entire day?

I checked my phone and saw that it was 5 pm. Hmm, guess I was able to sleep after all.

I sit up and see Kaito laying his head down near Bakugou's hand, it looked like he was asleep.

"Kaito..." I whisper.

He pops his head up and looks right at me, he runs over to me and jumps onto my lap. "You're awake! You slept for a long time!"

"I know, looks like those pills really worked." I lightly chuckle.

The room goes quiet while I hold Kaito in my arms. Then we both hear something shuffle right across from us. We both look up and see Izuku waking up.

My eyes widen and we both make our way over to Izuku's side.

He opens his eyes and squints to adjust to the light. "Izuku....can you hear me?" I ask him.

He struggles a bit to sit up, so I help him. Then he finally looks me in the eye, then he groggily says"(y/n)?"

I smile and say, "Hey, how are you feeling? You were asleep for quite a while there."

He touches his head and says quickly, "Oh my gosh, what happened?! Are you guys ok?! How long was I out?!"

He tries to get out of bed to do god knows what and I can tell he's about to have a full-on meltdown so I place my hands on his shoulders and tell him, "Izuku, look at me. Kaito and I are fine, ok?..... and you were only unconscious for a day."

He relaxes and sits back down. I let out a deep breath while Izuku looks around and sees that he wasn't the only one who was "asleep".

"Oh god, are they ok?" He worriedly asks me.

"Well, they're not dying.....Recovery Girl healed you guys, but for some reason, you guys didn't wake up. You're the first one." I answer him.

I touch his shoulder and sit down right next to him, "Do you remember what happened?"

He looks me in the eyes and I can see him trying to remember. He puts his hands on his temples and mumbles quietly to himself. I can't understand what he's saying, so I let him do his thing. He stayed like that for about 10 minutes, then he finally spoke up, "I remember you calling me and telling me there were villains looking for you guys at the fair."

"Ok, then what happened?" I eagerly ask him. Hopefully, I can finally get some answers now.

He continues, "I ran out of the office and started heading to you as fast as I could, but then I was ambushed by this villain I had never seen before. And then the next thing I know I woke up in some building. I think he emitted some kind of odorless, colorless gas that made me pass out. That's the only explanation." He stands up and begins pacing right in front of me and Kaito. Kaito sits down next to me and we both look at each other with our eyebrows raised.

Izuku continues his story, "As soon as I woke up, I heard so many people screaming. The building was unstable and was about to collapse, but there were still a lot of people inside, so I did my best to get everyone out until the building gave out and fell on me. I don't even know how I'm alive..."

He stopped pacing and looked at me. I was staring down at the floor, I couldn't look him in the eyes. It's my fault a fucking building fell on him.

"(Y/n)?"

I keep staring at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing I've ever seen, so I just mumble "Hmmm?"

Izuku squats down in front of me and places himself right in front of my face, "What's wrong?"
