I stupidly ask, "What do you mean I'm going with you?"

Bakugou explains, "We need you to touch one of the villains we encounter and see if they know anything else about The Trickster."

Oh crap, I really hate going out in the field.

I'm not suited for it.

I take a deep breath, "You remember how weak I am, right? You didn't just mysteriously forget?"

A muscle in his jaw twitches, "Yes, I remember."

I bite my lip anxiously, "You promise I won't die out there?"

He holds up his pinky to me, "I pinky promise."

He initiated the pinky promise first!

I intertwine my pinky with his, and he huffs out, "Absolutely ridiculous . . . "

Next thing I know, we're all riding in one of those vans with bench seats in the back. We're on our way to Kaito's house in Aoyama.

We're getting there an hour earlier since Bakugou didn't want to risk The Trickster tricking us. Haha, poor choice of words.

What kind of villain name is The Trickster anyways? He sounds like someone you would hire for your 6-year-olds birthday party.

I adjust my shirt for the 5th time, super uncomfortable with what the boys forced me to wear. They all stopped me just as were about to leave and told me to put on a bulletproof vest. I thought they were joking at first, but nope, they forced me to put this clunky shit on.

I pull at the vest, hoping to make it less constricting when Bakugou scolds me, "Stop messing with it."

"Easy for you to say, you're not wearing one," I snap back.

Bakugou closes his eyes and leans his head back, "Ugh. Just deal with it, we don't know what kind of quirks the villains will have. At least this way you have some protection."

"Fine," I curtly reply. But just because it's 'efficient' doesn't mean I like it.

We finally make it to the house and we each get out of the van. Bakugou and the others get off first. Izuku and Kirishima wait for me and they each help me out by holding my gloved hands. I appreciate them making sure I don't fall on my face because knowing me, I probably would have. I tell them both, "Thanks."

They reply by giving me lopsided smile then instantly go into hero mode.

Woah, they look so intense.

I turn to Bakugou and Todoroki, and they're the same.

They all begin scanning our surroundings.

Izuku even looks off into the distance trying to spot anything out of the ordinary. Then they all form a loose circle around me as if they were protecting me.

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but it warms my heart all the same.

We reach the entrance of the house and Todoroki knocks 3 times.

A man in a black suit opens the door and lets us pass. As soon as we walk in, I see 5 other men dressed exactly the same. We turn the corner and enter the living room. And there in the middle of the room, sitting on the couch, is the cutest boy I've ever seen.
