6 - what did i get myself into?

Kirishima and I walk up to Bakugou and he resumes seething, "I've been fighting villains since I was a first-year, and not once has a villain ever killed themselves. They're all fucking scared shitless of dying, so why the fuck would 10 villains commit suicide?!"

I look at Bakugou, completely stunned. 

He's a mess.

His face is all ashen, no doubt from the smoke, his hero costume is covered in soot, and his pretty blond hair is now tinted gray.

I sneak a glance at Kirishima and barely notice the soot covering his body and face. I refocus on Bakugou and admit, "I think I might know why."

Bakugou's head snaps towards me, actually surprised that I might know what's happening.

I go on, "I caught a glimpse of a faint thought in the back of Nakamura's mind that might help explain what's happening."

Kirishima and Bakugou are now standing directly in front of me, listening intently. "I heard Nakamura thinking about how The Trickster somehow knew someone would figure out his plans sooner or later, so to keep any hero from ruining them, he started coming up with some countermeasures. And I didn't hear this directly from Nakamura, but maybe one of those countermeasures was suicide."

Bakugou starts breathing heavily, obviously getting pissed off, and yells, "Those fucking bastards!" He turns around to face the window and puts his right hand on the glass and looks down.

I can't see his face, but I can tell he's disappointed by the way his shoulders slump.

Great, now I feel bad for him.

Kirishima breaks the silence, "Well, I have an idea to get around this little obstacle."

I look over at him eagerly, "Oooh, really?"

He nods. "Well, if the villains are killing themselves before we can get them to (Y/n), why don't we just bring (Y/n) to them?"

He's not saying what I think he's saying, right?

He doesn't actually want me to go out into the field with them, right?

Because that - now that would be crazy!

Is he actually saying that?

No!

He can't be!

No way! I can't fight! I'll just die out there!

I hurriedly screech back at him, "Are you insane?! Do you want me to get killed?!"

Kirishima's shocked at my little outburst but quickly recovers. He uses the calm voice that he only ever uses on Bakugou and sighs, "Obviously not. Bakugou and I would protect you while you're extracting the information out of these guys."

I turn back to Bakugou, hoping that his hatred for me will be enough to make him say no.

As much as I love my job, I love my life more.

And I know I'm a little chicken shit for not wanting to go, but when I say I can't fight, I literally mean I cannot fight.

Shit, I'm as strong as a baby!

I can't do this!

I begin to tremble slightly when I see that Bakugou is actually considering letting me go with them.

Before he can say anything I yell at him, "I can't go! I'm weak! I'm not a hero like you guys! My quirk won't save me out there, I'll probably die, and then you guys will be back at square one!" I try to convince them through my logic, but it doesn't work.
