53 - wedding bells

I wake up with a start. Sitting up ramrod straight and surveying the room for the thing that woke me up in the first place.

Kaito fidgets in his sleep at my sudden movement, but doesn't wake up.

I rub my eyes drowsily and try my best to look through the dark room.

BANG BANG BANG

Crap, that's loud.

Is someone banging on the door right now?

I glance at the clock by the bed and see that it's barely 7 a.m.

Who the hell is that?

I get out of bed, much too annoyed, and do my best not to disturb Kaito – just because I woke up at the buttcrack of dawn, doesn't mean he has to.

I make it downstairs, scowl presently on my face, and prepare to give whoever's at the door a piece of my mind.

I throw the door open and I'm immediately enveloped by some very warm pink arms.

Oh, it's just Mina.

She hastily shakes my shoulders, "It's your wedding day!! Are you excited?!"

I pull away and look at the smiling entourage behind her.

Apparently Mina, along with Ochaco and Yaoyorozu, thought it was a good idea to bust down a hormonal woman's door before the sun even came up.

I usher them in, like the good, polite person I strive to be, even though my insides are screaming at me to kick them all out until the sun has reached an acceptable position over the horizon.

But alas, they all breeze in like they haven't just committed a grand atrocity against me.

I close the door, putting an end to the brisk chill that has given me goosebumps all over, and answer her question, "I would be if I had woken up at a decent hour."

Mina pushes me into the living room and cackles, "Oh come on! It's your wedding day, how could you sleep on a day like this?!"

I start making my way to the stairs, "Would you like me to give you a demonstration?"

She responds with a knowing look, practically saying, 'Don't you dare.'

So instead, I collapse onto the sofa and close my eyes, desperately trying to lull myself back to sleep.

Then Yaoyorozu, who, if I remember correctly, is holding an insane amount of makeup bags, asks, "Where should we set up?"

"Outside," I grumpily answer.

She barks out a laugh, "Well I'll be damned. There's two of them!"

Ochaco chimes in, "I know right! But if we're being honest, (Y/n) is waaaaaaay meaner."

That gets my attention.

My eyes snap open and through narrowed slits, I see Ochaco smiling down at me.

I'm just about to defend myself when she squats down right next to me and tugs on a strand of my hair, "Wake up!"

I groan and stuff my face into the cushion, "You're not gonna leave me alone until I do, huh?"

She pops back up, "Yup!" then she smacks my booty, and I let out an embarrassingly loud yelp, "So wake up, honey buns!"

I immediately sit up and find all the ladies surprised by my reaction.

My face flushes and I want nothing more than to go upstairs and sleep next to my precious baby.

Then Mina teases me even further, "Wow, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you actually liked that!"
