The next week went by in a daze. Everything was perfect . . .until it wasn't.

I just finished washing the dishes and I'm about to head to the couch to sit down next to Kaito, when Bakugou comes down the stairs in casual attire.

"I'm gonna head out to work, I got a meeting with shitty hair," Bakugou grumbles the last part, obviously not happy about going to a meeting. I sit down and cuddle next to Kaito, he leans into my touch.

"Tell Eijiro-kun I said hi!" I tell him over my shoulder. I just hear a "Tch" before I hear the door open and close.

"Hey (y/n)" Kaito says.

I grab the remote and begin looking for something cool to watch, "Hmmm?"

He whispers "Tomorrow's my first day of school, but I don't want to go . . . "

I turn to him, "How come sweetie? Is there something bothering you?"

He doesn't meet my eyes and just nods yes. I pick him up and sit him on my lap, making sure not to touch his skin. I want him to tell me when he's ready. "You can tell me sweetie. There's no need to be scared."

He finally meets my eyes then softly whispers again, "I'm scared the villains will come after me again." My heart sinks. Of course he's scared. He's just a little kid who's been forced to go through a fucked up situation. 

"It's ok to be scared, it's completely normal. As for the whole school thing, what would make you feel safer?"

He plays with his hands looking down at them, "I'd feel safer if you or Baku were there with me."

I softly smile at his nickname for Bakugou, I still haven't gotten over how cute it is.

I hum to myself, trying to think of a response, "I don't think that's allowed, mi amor." His face immediately falls and he looks like he's about to cry. But I quickly add, "But I'm sure they'll make an exception for you." He looks back up at me with wide eyes, "Really? You mean it?"

I caress his cheek with my gloved hand, "Of course mi amor, anything for you."

He gently smiles and gives me a tight hug. Oh god, how I love his hugs. It feels like a little cloud. So cute!!

Ok, time to get things moving. I pat his back, "Ok, let me call a few of my friends and see if they'll let one of us stay with you." He releases me from his small death grip, "OK!!"

I get up to grab my phone, head to the kitchen and call the principal of his school. We were told to enroll him in the adjoining elementary school of U.A.

It doesn't groom the children to be heroes like the high school does, but it serves as an extra layer of protection for the heroes who do have children.

I dial his number and he picks up after the second ring. "Hello?" he asks.

"Hi Principal Ikeda, this is (y/n) Sato. I'm Kaito Masaki's mother."

"Oh of course! What can I do for you?"

"Well, you already know the whole situation with Kaito and the villains, and he doesn't feel safe going to school by himself. So I was wondering if there was any way either Bakugou or I could come and stay with Kaito at school until he felt comfortable to go by himself."
