Chapter 2

I head to the kitchen and filled the glass with water for her.
Hero sat beside her, comforting her as she sob in his chest.
I know, something wicked, very wicked might have happened to her and the way she's in, I can only think of one thing that might have happen to her.

I know it's very bold for me to say something like this without even knowing anything about the matter. However I'm curious and I can't ask Hero anything in front of her. I don't wanna sprinkle salt on her wounds.

I hand her the glass and sat beside her as I rub her back while she drank the water. Her sob turned into hiccups.

"Maa, what happened to her? Why is she crying?"
I spun my heard to Freddie.
Who's looking at her with concern and fear in his eyes.

I looked at Hero and sadly smiled at him as I got up and went to Freddie.

"Let's get you to your room? Yes love?"

I took hold of his hand in mine and take him to his room.
"Maa, why was she crying?"
He asked me again. I sigh.
I kneel to his height and smiled at him. A sad one.
"To be honest. I don't know, baby. Something bad happened with her and she might stay here for few days. Be nice and polite to her, yea?"

He nod his head and jump on the bed. I pulled the cover over him and tug him in.
He smiled at me. I smiled and kissed his forehead.
"Go to sleep love. Maa loves you." I whisper against his forehead and placed another soft kiss.
"Good night. I love you too, Maa." He whisper and close his eyes. I turn on the bedside lamp and walk out of the door.

I walk back in the living room and saw the girl stilling crying in Hero's chest. I would be lying, if I'll say I wasn't jealous furthermore I'm not in place to be jealous right now. So I just push the feeling aside and walk over to them.

"Are you alright?" I slowly ask.
She reluctantly looked up at me and slowly shake her head in denial.

I look at Hero and then at her.
Contemplating what to do.
Until I came up with a conclusion.

"I think...we should allow her to take a shower and I'll give you some of my cloth for now. We'll go for shopping tomorrow. You can stay here for as long as you want. I'll get the guest room ready."

She sniffs finally getting off his chest and nodded her while wiping her eyes and nose.

"I'll show you the bathroom and will lend you some of my clothes. Come on!"
I thrust my hands towards her. Waiting for her to take it and get up.

Reluctantly she took my hand and got up from her place. Giving me a small smile which I reciprocated.

"So this is the bathroom and your room for as long as you are staying here. I'll keep some clothes outside on the bed for you and some food. Eat it and sleep. Okay? Just lemme know if you need anything else."
I said as softly as I could and she just nod her head.

I feel so bad for her.

I don't know what happened with her but it was really bad that it shook her to this.

Yet again she nodded her head and head in the washroom. Placing some of my clothes and food on the bed I left the room and head to my bedroom.

Closing the door behind me I looked at Hero. Sitting on the edge of the bed. Tiredly smiling at me. I can see the frustration running his blood.

I sigh and head towards him. Standing between his legs and wrapping my arms around his head. He let his head rest against my boobs. Wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

We just stay still for a moment. We both knew he needed this.

It's just this way between us. That's how it works. We don't need to communicate in order to understand what's going on in others mind. We understand when the other need space and time. And we respect that. We respect each other.

Hero Finneas Tiffin

I close my eyes and yet again everything ran in front of my eyes.

A guy on top of her. Me hearing her incoherent whimpers. Running in the alley to help. Her sobbing body on the floor. Me placing my jacket to cover her up. Placing her in my car seat where Jo sits beside me. Bringing her here. Jo's expression. Everything.

She'll bring a lot of pressure..which is not good for the baby and my darling.

"I'm so sorry da-darling."
My voice cracked at the end.

"For-"
Before she could commence I cut her off.

"I didn't knew what to do when I saw her there. Her trembling body in the floor. Moaning in pain and whimpering. I did the first thing that came to my mind but I forgot how much stress I'll put you under. I'm so sorry. I promise I'll help you. I'll make sure this will not stress you out. I promise."

"Hey!"
She cupped my cheeks and forced my eyes up to her. Her gorgeous face in front of mine. Her beautiful eyes staring back in my dull one.
"You did nothing wrong. You saved that girl. You helped her. Okay? We can do this together. We will get through this together. Okay? We can do this. I love you."

She pressed her lips lightly against mine. Closing my eyes I allows myself to devour in the feeling of her lips against mine.

Little did I know someone was watching us but I paid no attention to it. Thinking i was being delusional. Until the voice of the door hit our ears and we broke the kiss looking towards the door which is slightly open.
