Chapter 13

Hero Finneas Tiffin

My eyes stayed constant on the door.
I would lift my hand to push the door open and the very next minute my hand is by my side again.

I don't know what does she want me to do this time.
Things are just getting worst.

What did we do to deserve this?

I took a deep breath, pushed my hand through my hair and pushed the door open.

"Took you long enough."
My eyes instantly shot up.

There she was.
An evil grin lying on her lips as she wickedly looked at me.

I just sigh and shook my head a little.

Let's get over this.

I'm sorry baby. Forgive me.

"What do you want?"

Hate and disgust was completely evident in my body language.

She scoff and walked over to me.
She placed her hand on my chest and I instantly pushed it off.
Disgusted.

She let out a chuckle and shook her hand.
"How stupid are you to think I wouldn't plant camera in his office?"

How does she even know about him? His office?

"How do you even know where's his office?"

She gave me a disappointing look.

"You think I'm doing all this without knowing who is your little wife's best friend?"
"Seriously? How stupid are you?"

"Yo-"
And I was rudely interrupted by the door bell.

Just as I turn to walk and open the door.
She took hold of my wrist.

"I'll do it for you. Get the couch ready. We are watching movie."

I stare at her weirdly.

Firstly, she texts me that she want to hurt Josephine.
Now, she want to watch movie.

It can't be that bad? Right?

"Don't look at me like that. Go and do as I say!"
She barked.

"Which movie?"

"You already know."

I stare at her.

How am I suppose to know that?

Without responding, I remove my hand off her hold and went in the living room and removed all the DVD we have.

Couldn't this person wait for a while?
It was so much fun seeing him so helpless.

Either way he deserve it.

The door bell rang yet again.

"Coming!"

I open the door and my boring eyes met with the most beautiful crystal blue pair.

His brunette hair pushed back.

Man! I could get lost in his eyes!

No. You are here to destroy them. Don't get distract now.

"Umm is Hero here?"

I shook my head.

Damn!
Irish accent!
I like it.

"He's inside. You want me to call him?"

My eyes were stuck on his pink lips.

What's wrong with me?

He frantically shook his head.
"No. No. Just give him this."

I took the box from his hand and looked at him.
"And you are?"
I raise my brow.

"Niall. Niall Horan. I'm his neighbour.
You must be..?"
He narrow his eyes in my way.

"Ohh Hailey. Hailey Collins."

He thrust his hand forward.
I smiled a little and shook his hand.

"Well Hailey it was nice meeting you. I'll leave now."

"Likewise."
I smiled and nodded my head.

After he walked off in the next apartment I turn and went in.
Closing the door behind me.

I went in and kept the box on the coffee table and allowed myself to relax on couch beside Hero.

"Who was it?"

Why must he be so annoying?
I close my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Niall. Gave this box and asked me to give it to you."
I beckon towards the box on the coffee table.

His face contract with confusion before he let out a small 'oh'

Niall has been our neighbour ever since we moved here.
He's an excellent guy.
But doesn't share his food.
Niall is not the guy who shares his food.
Food is his first priority.

As I was busy thinking about Niall sending me food.
I mean is he okay?

Hailey placed her legs on my lap.

"The fuck you're doin'?!"

She ignored me and placed her head on my shoulder.

"Remember we are watching movie?"
She raise her brow.

"But what's the need for this?!"
I annoyingly motioned towards our position.

"You do realise I want to hurt Jo?"

I wince.
Her word hold so much venom for my sweet wife and like a stupid husband I can't do anything!
I'm such a sorry excuse.

"If I wanted to watch a movie I'd watch it alone but I want to hurt her. Now listen, as soon as she's in the house we pretend we fall asleep on each other."

I could feel my heart pounding harder.
Josephine will never forgive me.
But I have to keep her safe.

God help me!

That's when the door opened.

"Com'n now close your eyes and pretend that you are asleep."

She fast forwarded the movie and came back.
Place her legs on my lap. Her head on my shoulder. She placed my hand on her bum but I moved it and placed it on her waist.

"What th-"

I'm so sorry Josephine.

I'm so sorry I was gone for so long. This chapter was supposed to be published last night but I was asleep the whole yesterday.
Due to exam I didn't sleep two days consecutively.
