Chapter 22

Josephine Langford

I anxiously bite on my nails as I rang Niall. Waiting for him to pick it up. 

"Jo stop doing that." Hero snapped and pulled my hands away from my mouth. I gave him 'I can't help I'm anxious' look. He shook his head and sighed. I shrug and kept waiting for him to pick up the call. 

Why the fuck is he taking so long to pick up a damn call? 

On the cue, he answered. 

"Hello Jo?"

I looked at Hero and then went back to biting on my nails. I heard him sighing in disappointment. Well he can't blame, he could call Niall himself but he's making me do it. 

"Jo? You there?" He whispered from other end.

"Yea. Yes I'm here. Actually I need a favour from you." I muttered nervously, trailing off at the end.

"What kinda favour?" I didn't have to see his face to tell his brow arched in confusion. I released a deep breath and uttered the favour, without hesitation or stutter. "I need you to take Hailey on date."

"What?" He barked from the other end. "I mean why? She'll ruin my mind." He whined. Hero came forward and took the seat beside me, beckoned me to hand him the phone. I looked at him and nod my head. "Look Hero wanna talk with you. He'll explain everything." I hand over the phone to Hero and sat there quietly, staring at him as he talked with Niall. 

"No Niall, It is a long story. No, yea yea I'll explain it all to you in person. For now please just do as we say. Please, I beg you. I know, I know. I can't tell you over phone. After you bring her back from date, yea, make sure she's too drunk to understand anything happening around her. Yea man, yea. I owe a big time. Thanks. Yea she's absolutely fine. Just like her mother. Yea talk to you later. Bye mate." He smiled a little and hung up the call. 

I stared at him and raise my brow. "So?" He grinned at me and nod his head. "He agreed." I grinned and hugged him. "I hope everything will go as planned." "Me too." He wrapped his arms around me and buried his face in my neck.

"Let's call Harry and Clara and tell them everything." I untangled our arms and took my phone out of his hands and ranged Harry. "Harry, bring Clara over. Urgent SOS." I said and hung up. I looked at Hero and flashed him a small smile. "Manifesting everything goes right." I crossed my fingers and flashed him a tight lip smile. He nod his head and leaned in and pressed a kiss on my forehead. I leaned in and stared at our sleeping daughter. 

I closed my eyes and sent a prayer to God, asking him to be on my side this time and make everything work in our favour.
