Josephine Langford

I didn't get much sleep after the nightmare. I'm exhausted. As I drove down to the house, I noticed that I had eye bags under my eyes.

I began walking to the house after parking the car in the lot.
Thank goodness Freddie is travelling with Kath and Titan. I need to get some rest.

I entered the living room after locking the door behind me.
He was right there.
Sitting on the couch.

I walked past him without looking him in the eyes when he grabbed my wrist.

I flinched visibly at his touch.

"Josephine wait. I need to speak with you."

"What are you talking about?"
I muttered without looking him in the eye.

"I-I," he stumbled.

This is not going to go well.

I was annoyed when he didn't say anything for a while.
"About what Hero?"

His gaze kept darting around the room. His breathing was erratic. He was tense. But what is it about?

He took a deep breath, and what he said next completely broke me.
"I'm looking for a divorce."
His gaze was drawn to the floor right away.

"Wh-what?"
I spoke quietly.

I gave him a long look. I was hoping he'd explain the decision he made for us without consulting me.

"Wh-Why?"
I stumbled. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"Is it because of Hailey? Do you have feelings her?"
I muttered something.

His brow furrowed. He gave me a look. I'm not sure confused?

He nodded and looked me in the eyes.
"Ye-yes. I love her."

The ground seemed to disappear beneath me.
So I was correct the whole time?
How long had they been doing this behind my back?

"Since when?"
I feel so insignificant and humiliated.

"It's been a month."
He muttered something.

This whole month I was dreading and wondering how I could impress him so he'd love me more and pay more attention to me, and he was fucking Hailey?

Is it true that I've become that repulsive?

"Why? Am I that disgusting now?"

"Josephine."
He muttered and gave me a wild look.

I wanted to laugh at his expression.
Why pretend to be concerned when he has already done so?

"No. Please respond. Do I look that disgusting now?"

A small pain shot through my stomach, but I decided to ignore it because it wasn't that serious.

I've been experiencing stomach pain for the past few days.

A sharp pain shot through my body, and I let out a shriek.

"Josephine!"
He was by my side in seconds, but I stopped him before he could touch me.

"Don't. Please do not approach me."
I mumbled, and another agonising shriek escaped my lips.

"We need to take you to the hospital, Josephine!"
He yelled and looked beneath me.

I looked down as I followed his gaze.
My heart rate slowed.

I only saw blood.

Oh God. No, please. Not again.

With fear in my eyes, I looked at him.

The thought of losing my child again made my heart ache in my chest.

Please do not do this again.

Everything is happening because of him and her. He was aware that my pregnancy was complicated, but he chose to drop the bomb on me during the most sensitive period of my pregnancy.
I said, looking him in the eyes.

"If something bad happens to my baby again, I won't be able to survive, and it'll be your fault."
