Chapter 6

"Let's go to my private office, okay?" Sean asked as he came over to them.

"I hungee," Iris pouted.

"We're about to leave Sweet Pea," North smiled, "I'm just waiting on my brother Brandon to bring your car seat because our house is far away, okay?"

"Otay," she smiled. "Upsies peas?"

"Of course Sweet Pea," North smiled and gently picked her up.

"Come on Pookie," Sean said as he opened the door and lead them to his private office. He locked the door and she looked at him confused. "The family knows the code." He grabs a blanket and covers her when he felt her shaking, "It will be okay Pookie, the both of you are safe here."

"I'm sorry," She whispered as he moved her head to rest on his chest. "I'm sorry."

"There is nothing to be sorry for," Sean said as he rubbed her back and eye locked with North.

Moments later she heard beeping and clutched Sean's shirt. "Hey Doc, what's going on?" Luke asked as he walked in. "What's wrong Cupcake?" He asked dropping the bag in his hand and rushing over to her.

"She received a text," North said while bouncing Iris gently.

"I heard there was a special little girl wanting tacos," A man with one blue eye and one green eye said coming in. "Does anyone know anything about that?"

"Me," Iris smiled softly raising her head off North's shoulder. "Me wan taught toes peas."

"Oh there you are," he smiled bringing a bag over and setting it on Sean's desk.

"Mommy wowed no no wors man," Iris said spotting Gabe as he walked in with a confused look on his face. "Mommy."

"I'm right here Baby Girl," Amy said removing herself from Sean's hold and taking her from North then went behind him. "I got you Baby Girl."

"I'm sorry," Gabe said staying by the door.

"Baby," North said turning to face her, "See that door right there?" He pointed to a door a few steps away from her and she nodded. "That's Doc's extra bedroom for when he has to work super late hours here. Why do you and Sweet Pea go eat in there while I talk to my brothers, please?"

"You ee ice trweam wif me?" Iris asked looking at North.

"What?" The group asked and North chuckled.

"I promised you I would didn't I?" He asked her and she smiled brightly making him smile. "Go eat your tacos with Mommy and as soon as I'm done talking to my brothers I'll come eat some ice cream with you, okay?" She nodded and he kissed her forehead, "I want you to make sure Mommy eats too, okay?"

"Otay," Iris smiled and hugged him then kissed his cheek. "Tant two mate me all bebber an get me taught toes and ice trweam wif me."

"You are very welcome Sweet Pea," North smiled and watched as Amy and Iris went into the other room with some food and drinks Luke handed her.

Once the door was shut North turned and faced the group. He sighed and then proceeded to tell them everything that had happened. Sean gave his information as well then handed over the phone.

"Are you seriously fucking tell me that that girl in there is my Trouble?" Gabe asked shaking his head. "But...but...fuck!" He sighed, "I mean fucking hell, I heard what Luke said and I saw the bracelet but..."

"Who is this guy?" Nathan asked and North shrugged.

"I don't know, it's not Iris' father," North sighed, "I never saw her with anyone, hell I didn't even know she had a kid until tonight."

"What was in the packet he gave her?" Owen asked and North shrugged.

"I don't know but he is a real piece of work."

"What has she told you about this guy?" Corey asked.

"Just that she met him at a bookstore when he asked her for her advice on a book and she went on one date with him but he really creeped her out. She told him she wasn't interested and then ignored him and even changed her number but he keeps finding out her number. She never even told him about her daughter or about her ex. This guy knows way too much about her."

"So we got a neglectful father and a stalker," Brandon said, "Man and I thought we had..."

"That's not all," North sighed, "I've seen signs of her being abused before. Signs I've recognized in us."

"Plus she has symptoms of severe anxiety and depression," Sean said tapping the pen on his leg.

"So we are just going to ignore the fact that health freak North is willing to eat ice cream with the little girl?" Marc asked after a few moments of silence.

"She took her medicine without complaining," North glared, "plus she's still trying to accept the fact that her asshole of a father threw away her Care Bears because he tried telling her she was too big for them and got mad at her for crying."

"What the fuck?" Gabe asked shocked, "He did what?"

Just then Sean's office doorknob started beeping and turning.
