His Lost Trouble

Chapter 29

"What's going on?" Sean asked as the team rushed to the crowd of medics in the park, "why aren't you doing anything?"

"The dog won't let us approach," One of the medics said pointing.

Sean followed his hand and saw Draven laying on top of Amy watching everything intently. "Every time we approach he growls." He took a step and Draven tensed up and let out a furious deep growl. "I thought service dogs recognized our symbols and us telling them we are there to help but he refuses."

"Where's Lucian?" North asked looking around.

"Over there holding the little girl from seeing anything," The first medic pointed, "The dog won't let us approach to check them out. The third dog had the attacker pinned according to the father of the girl. He won't release him either for us to check. I seriously need these kind of trained dogs for my children and wife. Dr. Green, we really need to check them out, do you have any kind of advice what to do?"

Sean looked around while his mind was racing and his chest was beating out of his chest. The blood under Amy was growing. First things first, doctor mode. "Let me handle this and listen closely. That's my wife, husband, and daughter. The dogs are in protection mode so listen to what we say." The medics nodded and waited. "Raven, call off Draven," he instructed.

Raven nodded and spoke to the dog as he approached. Draven stood and took a few steps back then sat while still staring down everyone. "Good Draven, proud," He said petting him. "Come Doc."

Sean and one of the medics rushed to Amy. Kota looked around and whistled, "Good job Max," he said as he walked over to Luke and Iris where Max was standing guard growling. He spotted Kota and immediately eased. "Luke, get her out of here."

"I'm so sorry," Luke whispered, "I told her we were fine, we were okay, I'm so sorry."

"Later Luke," Kota said looking toward Iris. "She doesn't need to see this."

Luke nodded and kept her face hidden as he rushed her to the group.

"Raven!" Axel called as he spoke with some police officers a little bit away from where Sean was working on Amy. Raven got up and walked over to Axel. "Call him off so the officers can arrest him."

"Get this fucker off me!" The man yelled, "He tried to kill me! I have blood loss, he needs to be put down! This is a vicious killer dog! Get him off me!"

"Nyet," Raven growled as he stepped on the man's leg and applied pressure making him scream in pain. "You hurt wife."

"She isn't your wife!" The man yelled, "She's married to Mason Bennett!"

"They filed for divorce Officers," Axel shook his head, "They have court in a couple of days to finalize it. You can check and see. I suspect this is her stalker that she has filed numerous reports on as well."

"Thank you, now can we move the dog so the medics can make sure he is stable to transfer to the hospital before we lock him up?" One of the officers asked and Axel nodded.

"Raven, let them do their job," Axel said and Raven growled, applied more pressure then stepped back.

He spoke a few words and Oreo dug his teeth in even more then released while continuing to stand over him growling. Raven took a few steps back, spoke in Russian some more and Oreo walked back all tensed up while growling, never moving his eyes off him while the medics worked on him. He stood in front of Raven growling the entire time the medics worked on him.

"That dog is dead," the man growled, "he bit me, go ahead and say your goodbyes, he's a goner."

"No, he isn't," The officer shook his head. "If you had done better research stalking this family, you would have known that those dogs are trained military dogs. He was just protecting his family military style. The judge will agree, they did nothing wrong, now let's go."

The other officer turned to Raven and Axel, "Call this vet," he said handing a card over, "She will come tend to the knife wounds on both dogs they sustained protecting your wife. The hospital knows her and I'll call so they will be expecting her. I'm sorry this happened, we will do everything can to make sure he gets the maximum charges and find out why he did this."

"Thank you," Axel said as Nathan walked over.

"Doc said she's stable enough for transfer," He said trying to keep everything together. "Dr. Roberts and Momma are waiting for us."

"Let's go," Axel said. "Raven, you got Draven and Oreo."

"I just got off the phone with the vet, she's on her way," Kota said hanging up his phone.

"I called Father, he and Mother are coming down," Corey said hanging up his phone.

"Sean's parents are on their way also," Victor said hanging up his phone.

"Iris?" Axel asked.

"Clinging to Luke who is about to have a nervous breakdown," Kota shook his head. "He's blaming himself. He had just told Amy that they were fine apparently."

"None of us thought this would happen," Corey shook his head. "Let's get to the hospital and help him see this isn't his fault."

They all arrived at the hospital at the same time and Sean rushed to the back with Erica and Dr. Roberts. The vet met them and rushed to the room right next door with Raven and Corey. The rest met with Jessica who was waiting so she could care for Iris and they went up to Sean's room and sat to wait for news, each lost in their own thoughts.
