I walked home crying. Seeing Jayden’s face so broken hurt. Maybe I did the wrong think, maybe I could have still focused on school without “breaking up” with him. If I haven’t felt empty for the last month I sure do now. I feel really weird not wearing the necklace my mom said I wore that since I was five and never took it off only in situations where I might lose it. But I would have to deal with it since that was my promise to Jayden when I get everything figured out I would come back to him. The sad point is I hope he will take me back. When I finally reached home I was hoping no one was home other then Adria and Elias even though that won’t talk to me. I really don’t need to hear anything from my mom at the moment. I walked up to my room only to hear music blasting from Elias’s room. So much for wanting to hear quiet. I hit his door telling him to turn it down. And it worked but then he walked out of his room with a curious look on his face.
“I wasn’t trying to talk to you I just wanted you to turn down the music.” I yelled. I didn’t want him to say “what part of don’t talk to me don’t you understand” once more.
“No I was actually waiting for you. I need to talk to you.” Elias went to lean on the wall but he leaned on his door that fell open and caused Elias to fall. I let out a small laughed before walking into his room and sitting down on his bed. “I just need to ask you something” I nodded my head telling Elias to continue. “Why did you do it?” I hint of anger rose from his voice.
I looked at him dumbfounded “Did what?” I nearly yelled. The past month he has been mad at me!
“You knew that was the one thing I loved more than anything!” Elias yelled. The only thing I know he loves more than anything is his guitar he won from his favorite band it was even signed from his idol. But I wouldn’t do anything to it I wouldn’t be that stupid.
“Your guitar? I would never touch that. I’m surprised you don’t have it in a safe with guard dogs and lazars!” I was a little mad he thought I would do something to it.
“Yes Adria said you went into my room one day wanting to play it and you dropped it breaking the neck. I looked at him astonished how he can ever believe Adria! Shouldn’t he know me better that I would never break his things and not tell him how sorry I am?
“Elias you should know me better than this why would I break you most prized possession and not tell you about it? You know my guilt would kill me! I would always tell you how sorry I was I would probably but you a new one and track down the band even if it meant I had to take a plane to Australia!” I couldn’t tell what emotion I had was I mad or sad or both? “Why would you ever believe Adria in the first place? She’s probably the one who broke it! Since she hates me. Of course she’s going to blame me” I can’t believe I was empty for the past month for something I didn’t even do!
"Okay Scarlett I believe you!" Elias yelled I guess he realized I was on the verge of tears. "I'm so sorry I believe Adria I guess I was just so mad that the guitar was broke I didn't realize you wouldn't do anything like that. Wait till Adria comes home from cheer practice shes going to get a piece of me!" He pulled me into a hug. Wow you have no idea how long I wanted on of these! I couldn't really wait till Adria got home she was finally going to get what she deserved. Elias showed me what the guitar looked like as we waited. I felt bad the neck of the guitar was snapped off and the strings were the only thing holding them together.
Finally Adria and our mom came home and I was ready to see what Elias was going to sat to Adria! Elias basically ran down the stairs when Adria's annoying voice filled the house.
"Adria why did you lie and say Scarlett broke my guitar? When she never even goes in my room without my permission?" Elias yelled. Our mom looked at us funny you can tell she wanted to say something but she was biting her tongue. Adria opened her mouth probably to protest but nothing came out.
