Oleander and Ian had been on the swinging bench for some a while, Oleander draped over him with her head on his chest as he rocked the bench in a gentle sway with his foot on the ground. Rebecca did not want to interrupt her friend, she knew how long Oleander had been pining for Ian yet she could not help but to feel as though she should be partaking in the actual party. But mostly she was just tired of babysitting Trent. Rebecca had found Trent in the basement cursing and pacing over broken shards of glass. Rebecca had dragged him up stairs, leaving the mess for someone else, she hadn't let Trent out of her sight since but she really wanted to hook up with Kevin. She pulled out her phone and sent a text to Oleander, "Dude are you ever gonna to spend time at your party?" Oleander sat up so quickly that it caused her to become dizzy, Ian steadied her with an unsteady hand. He furrowed his brow and said, "What's up?" "M' phone is shaking." She responded pulling out the vibrating cellular device. She stared at the screen with a squint, slowly reading. "Shit." she mumbled. "What?" Ian asked sitting up slightly. "I'm being rude!" She said with a pout, "I should go inside and socialize." she hissed the final word. "I hate being near people." Ian responded with understanding, "cept you." he added smiling. "We should stay out here and hate people together." She smiled. Ian took a deep breath to calm his nerves, he moved his hand to rest of Oleander's hipbone. He swiftly leaned down and gently kissed her on her mouth. Ian tasted like breath mints over beer with a hint of tang from the weed. Oleander thought that it was okay though, because she was sure that she didn't taste any better. It was not quite the perfect movie moment she was dreaming of but it was close enough. She parted her mouth and let his tongue slip inside with a giggle. By the time he had pulled away she was laughing uncontrollably. Ian frowned. "Why are you laughing?" He asked self-consciously. "I don't know. I'm high. Do you ever just laugh when you get what you want?" She answered. Ian laughed, "No, getting what I want doesn't normally make me laugh, I don't get what I want very often." Oleander leaned up to kiss him again, pausing before their lips touched to whisper "I'll just have to give you what you want until you laugh." She then pulled her head away and shook her head, "Wait. Don't laugh. Just pretend I'm sexy." "You are." He assured her before kissing her again.
