Oleander heard a faint singing over Trent’s heavy pants. His head was in the crook of her neck, kissing and biting her throat, she was about to ask him if he too heard the sounds but his fingers curled in a manner that left her throwing her head further back in a moan instead. She temporarily forgot the noises she had been hearing, until they started up again louder.
“What is that?” She breathily asked.
“What’s what?” Trent said staring down at her in confusion.
“Sounds.” She replied with a groan, Trent continued his ministrations.
“Phone?” He suggested.
“Fuck.” Oleander uttered realizing that his guess was correct. She pushed his shoulders and he rolled off from atop her. Oleander rummaged through her dampened sheets and found the cellular device vibrating and releasing a tone from beneath her pillow.
“Hello?” She answered the phone call.
“Oh my fuck! Ole you’ll never guess what happened!” Valerie exclaimed.
“Neither would you.” She mumbled wryly.
“Oh shit girl, you sound like you were mid Jill. Did I twat swat you?” Val asked.
“Something like that.” She told her, “What happened?”
“Trina’s mom ran off with some guy! Trina came over after class and then like Rebecca’s dad called her crying and like I drove her over there and like but jeez right! Why did you want Trina to come over for anyway?” Valerie replied.
“I don’t know.” She mumbled, “I just we need to figure out how to fix Rebecca.” Oleander lied.
“We’re all meeting up at Rebecca’s in about an hour. To cheer up the fam. You in?” Val asked, Oleander could hear her chewing her bubblegum.
“Of course.” Oleander declared trying ignore the ever growing not in her belly.
“You should bring Ian.” Valerie suggested.
“Why?” Oleander asked, a bad taste filled her mouth and her heart began erratic palpitations. She had forgotten about her boyfriend until now.
“Because he asked about you while we were leaving school. He said you seemed distant and he missed you and was worried.”
“Oh. Um, yeah. Okay. I’ll text Ian. I’m bringing Trent too.” Oleander declared.
“Like visible Trent?”
“Yeah. We need all of us together, because we have to fucking fix Rebecca.”
