Ethan filled my glass, walks to the front of his desk and stands there watching the news.

Ladies and gentlemen. This afternoon, historic documents concluding the Treaty of Peace between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the State of Israel will be signed.
First, President Sadat...

Door opens and I hear a chuckle then he tosses his bag on the sofa right next to me.

"Wow.. just missed me lucky you! Hi." I say with a smirk and a little annoyed.

"Hey." He says, winks then goes straight for the delicious brown liquid.

"The Prime Minister is about to sign
the most important peace accord in our lifetime and he can't enjoy it because of
some remote tribe of our people getting massacred on a continent no one cares about." Ethan always knows how to start a conversation.

"Well, maybe you should let me do my job instead of pulling me out." I'm loving Ari's response to Ethan.

This is going to be entertaining I think to myself as Ari walks to the sofa and sits down.

"Your job includes getting arrested? Or is this just another by-product of you being reckless and totally out of control?" I really like how Ethan speaks to Ari too.

"Great we are skipping the introduction and you boys are getting right into it huh." I say making sure they are aware of me being in the room.

Ethan goes to fill his glas again and continues his little rant towards Ari. "Sudan? My god, Ari. An enemy country in a perpetual state of... fucked-up-ness. What were you thinking?" At this moment I knew I was going to love this assignment of mine seeing how much of an headache Ari gives Ethan.

"I was thinking that hiding refugees in a refugee camp was a pretty brilliant idea." I chuckle at Ari's response.

Ethan looks at me I raised my hands "Hey I'm sorry but it is kinda brilliant Ethan."

"She is a smart one eh." Ari says giving me a look I don't know the meaning of then finishing his drink.

"And how do you propose to get them out of there?" Ethan continues totally ignoring me.

"Still working on that."

"This job pays in migraines." I snorted knowing Ari makes Ethan's life hell and as Ethan filles up our glasses, Ari looks at me with intriguing eyes.

"You look like shit!" Ethan blurs out to Ari.

My eyes widen and I feel a little uncomfortable I have to be honest Ethan might think Ari looks like shit but I think he looks extremely attractive the homeless whatever look works for him.

"Thank you." Ari replied as if he got a complement. "Smell like shit, too. I was under for six weeks."

I laughed at the sarcasm couldn't help but snif and I wanted to slap myself in the face. To be honest I didn't think he smelled bad and I was wondering how he would smell if he had just showered.

"How's Sarah?" Ethan asks and that got me out of fantasyland.

"She left me." Was Ari's response and this was really getting akward now.

I finish my glass and set in on the table in front of me. "I uhh think I should leave now this is getting to personal." I get up but Ethan gives me a look and fills my glass and I know this is my sign to sit my ass back down.

Ethan turns his focus back on Ari "Your life's a mess. Well, maybe this is a blessing in disguise, then."

"What is? Are you taking me off this?"

"Yess I need you with Rebekah to keep an eye on her."

Ari looks at me and I keep my face on Ethan but I can feel Ari's doesn't look very pleased.

"Exfil is going to come up with some alternative plans for the Ethiopians. Then we'll discuss with the boss how best to move forward."

"Ethan, don't do that. I know Rebekah her reputation I know this is about her keeping an eye on me not the other way around." I knew Ari couldn't be fooled and I don't think Ethan wanted to hide the truth or he would have tried harder. "And about Exfil You know those guys are morons, they're gonna waste months on plans that aren't viable. Months that we don't have."

"To be fair Ethan Ari is kinda right about Exfil they are morons." I say.

"See You gotta send me back." Ari jump in after my comment.

Ethan gives me a disproved look but he knows Ari is right but doesn't want to give in. "Go home, take a shower, spend some time with the family."

"Fuck! No." Ari says crossing his arms.

"No?" Ethan asks questionly.

I can't help but be amused seeing I'm not the only one making life difficult for poor Ethan.

"It's done, Ari. You're not going anywhere." Ethan says as an order.

After that Ari left and I was still with Ethan in his office knowing he still has something to say about my behavior.

"You where not much help Bekah."

"I'm not sorry he is right and you know it! Look I know he is a loose cannon but he does get things done and you know that. He takes risks yes but so do I."

"Yeah but you don't end up in jail."

"Yeah but that's because I have female power and I look very innocent." We both laugh on that last part.

"The both of you are giving me way to much trouble."

"But I think the both of us are the best you have and do a lot more than anyone else does and you're actually very happy about that even if we make trouble for you, Ari more than I do obviously. But anyway now what, because I'm a little confused on what I'm supposed to do now."

"Knowing Ari he is going to come up with something and I need you to look at it seeing if it's something."

"And if it is?"

"Then I want you to go with him."

I'm sure he doesn't want that and I'm not sure I want that."

He doesn't have a choice if he wants to do the mission and neither do you."

"Fine." I say before I leave.
