Being an Army doctor wasn't for the weak. The things you had witnessed were heartbreaking and soul crushing. Countless amounts of soldiers would come to you with injuries, some minor, but mostly major. The bloodied bodies of soldiers were completely normal and an everyday thing for you, as unfortunate as it was.
You loved that you were able to help soldiers who fought tooth and nail for your country. There were so many amazing individuals who made sacrifices to fight. They all left their families to go to war. As great as your job of helping people was, there were more cons than anything else.
You'd watch as too many soldiers had detrimental injuries beyond repair. You'd take it hard whenever you lost someone you tried so desperately to save. You wouldn't stop until you ran out of any alternatives and let out a heavy sigh as a soldier clutched onto your hand tightly.
For the men and women who didn't make it, you would be the last thing they ever saw. You'd watch as the light left their eyes and they took their very last breaths. You felt like a god damn failure as more lives were lost than saved.
Part of you knew that it wasn't your fault, but you couldn't help but go over how you could've done things differently. Maybe, if you had more supplies to work with in the medical tent, the fallen soldiers would be on their way home to their families alive and well, not in a casket.
The job eventually took a toll on your mental health and you were honorably discharged from the Army. After everything you'd seen while you were active on the field, you had developed PTSD. You'd awake in a fright in the wee hours of the night as flashbacks of the people you couldn't save haunted you.
Adapting to life outside of being an Army Doctor was challenging. Your life for the past few years were nonstop work and adrenaline rushes as you worked on patient after patient. Now, you were back home in New York. Not having anything to do, and sleeping on a soft mattress instead of the sleeping bag on the hard floor, was something you needed to get used to again.
You decided to take a break from working and focus on your mental health. You'd seen a therapist every Monday and Friday of the week and talk about all the things you'd seen and all your supposed failures. It really helped and your therapist encouraged you to seek out another job. So, you did.

You had managed to get a job as the personal doctor of the Avengers. You had known of them, they were the government's pride and joy, after all. You were just glad that you'd be able to do what you love and help others again, on a less intense scale.
Being the doctor of people who were constantly at battle was nothing new to you, but this felt different. You weren't away from home, you had advanced technology to work with, and you had a stocked up medical bay at your disposal.
It kind of pissed you off that there were so many medical supplies here that could be donated to the military doctors who need it. You knew damn well you could've save so many more people out in the field if you had only had the things you had right now in your new workplace.
You absolutely loved the team of heroes, though. They had all been so grateful and welcoming when Steve had introduced you to them all.
"Guys, this is our new team doctor, Y/N L/N." Steve spoke as you both walked into a gigantic living room that overlooked the city below.
"Please, just call me Y/N/N. It's a pleasure to meet you all." You stood awkwardly as you flashed a nervous smile. You had spent all your time at work, surrounded by soldiers, but you still lacked social skills.
Each Avenger introduced themselves individually and you made mental notes of which name belonged to who. The final two people to introduce themselves were, in your opinion, the most attractive pair of the group.
"I'm Natasha Romanoff." The woman with red hair and sporting a leather jacket spoke as she gave you a kind smile that reached her eyes as she took you in.
"I'm Wanda Maximoff, it's lovely to meet you." A brunette haired woman with mesmerizing green eyes beamed as she extended her hand out for yours. You gave a polite smile in return, as you refused to shake her hand.
"I'm sorry, I'm not exactly comfortable making physical contact with others unless it is work related." Your resistance against physical touch had to do with your time as an Army doctor. The soldiers weren't able to hold anyone as they risked their lives and died, so why should you? It didn't seem fair. It would make you feel selfish if you indulged in affection when others didn't have that pleasure.
Wanda, as you now learned, quickly retreated her hand as she grew embarrassed. "Oh! I'm so sorry. I'll keep that in mind from now on." You felt so bad for making her feel ashamed. It wasn't her fault or anyone's fault for that matter, it's just the way you thought.
"Don't be sorry. It's totally okay." You gave Wanda a reassuring smile as you took in the two woman stood before you. God damn, they were gorgeous as hell. It honestly shouldn't be allowed to be kind and hot at the same time. They should be illegal or something.
Wanda blushed as she sent Natasha a look and a smirk made it's way to the red-head's face. You were confused by Wanda and Natasha's exchange, they didn't even speak to each other, but it seemed like they did. You couldn't help but feel like your thoughts could be heard.
"Well, it was nice to meet all of you, I'm going to head up to my room. The drive up here took a lot out of me. Goodnight, and thank you for the opportunity." You turned away from the two women stood before you as you acknowledged everyone else in the room.
A chorus of "goodnight" and "no, thank you." flooded throughout the room as you made your exit. Just from the brief introduction, you could already tell that these people would end up becoming important to you.
They were way more down to earth and normal than you thought they would be. As you got ready for bed and collapsed onto your mattress, you couldn't get the two women of the team out of your head. You couldn't shake the feeling that something could be very possible between you and one of them... or both. That's wishful thinking, but damn.. imagine that.
You shut your eyes as thoughts of the two stunning Avengers plagued your mind. You let yourself slip into darkness as you cuddled into the soft comforter with a sigh of relief.

3 months had passed since you were officially made the Avengers' team doctor and things were going great. You got to help out the heroes with their many injuries that they had received during missions. None of them were ever major ones, and you were secretly grateful for it. Why would you wish for someone to be fatally injured? Even if you were a talented doctor, you wouldn't wish that upon anyone.
Not only were you able to work, you had found a family in the team. Steve had made it a point to train you every morning, in case you ever need to defend yourself from a threat. You feel as though he forgot that you were literally in the Army, but you humored him.
Tony and Banner made an effort to teach you about different machines and devices that you could use while working. The cell regeneration chamber literally almost made you cry. What? You were a doctor! This machine could literally repair not so serious wounds in a few minutes. That's incredible, ground-breaking technology.
Thor and Peter made sure to play video games with you. You couldn't help but laugh as the two would argue over whether the other person cheated or not. You would remain the middle man and simply sneak out of the room as they rambled off in disagreement.
And then there was Natasha and Wanda. Out of all of the Avengers, you would say that you're definitely closer to the two women than anyone else on the team. You hung out with the pair every single night. Whether you guys watched movies together on the couch or drank some alcohol on the rooftop of the compound, the three of you were inseparable.
You'd be lying if you said that you hadn't developed feelings for the assassin and witch. They were extremely attentive and respectful of your boundaries. They took note of your favorite foods, drinks, and tv shows. They cared for you as a person and you appreciated it so much.
During these nights, you made sure to maintain some distance between yourself and them. As much as you trusted and grown to like them, you just couldn't gain enough courage to initiate any sort of contact.
Natasha and Wanda completely understood this. They knew that being an Army doctor probably wasn't the easiest job. You had seen things that would even make them, Avengers who have fought off the unimaginable, cower away in fear.
This didn't thwart the curiosity they had. They wanted to know you inside and out. They wanted to discover why you were the way you were. Natasha and Wanda knew that they had feelings for you the moment they laid eyes on you.
Yes, very cliche, but very true. Natasha and Wanda immediately discussed about how into you they were as soon as you had left the room on your first day. There was just something about you that they couldn't seem to pinpoint, but it made them want you.
Maybe it was your kindness. Maybe it was your need to help other people. Maybe it was your respectfulness. Maybe it was how humble you were. Maybe it was your attractiveness. Or maybe, it was all of the above. All they knew was that they wanted you and would wait however long you needed to want the same.

You had been in the medical wing, tidying up the supplies and placing them in their proper positions. Peter and Ned had been messing around in here a few hours prior before the team had gotten caller onto a mission.
After order was restored to the wing, your attention was pulled away from your work as you heard multiple, rushed footsteps.
The entire team walked in, but all you could focus on was Natasha's bloodied form, her head hung down as her arms were slung around Steve and Wanda's shoulders. They were supporting her weight with their bodies.
"Y/N. We need your help. She was hit multiple times and she's lost a lot of blood." You were frozen in shock for a second. The sight of the woman you'd grown to care for, and dare you say love, was hurt and needed you. Your fear of failure quickly disappeared as you snapped into action.
"Lay her down and I need you all to get out of here. I can't risk messing up and distractions may cause just that." At your words, Steve and Wanda placed Natasha onto the table in front of you as the redhead let out a grunt of pain.
"I know hon, it's okay. I'll help you." You took out a needle from a drawer and skillfully poked it into Natasha's skin. It was an anesthetic so it could at least somewhat help her pain.
Everyone hesitantly exited the room, Wanda being the last. She spared one last look of worry at Natasha and sent you a reassuring smile as she rushed out of the room. You looked down at the redhead and got to work. You couldn't fuck this up.

1 hour later
You walked out of the medical wing as you wiped some sweat off of your brow. Even though you didn't perform surgery, you felt like you did because of all the nerves.
"How is she?" Steve asked as he shot up from his seat. The rest of the team followed as they crowded you.
"She's fine and stable. I got the bullets out and thankfully, they didn't hit anything major. I used the cell regeneration chamber to restore her skin. Shes as good as new." You smiled in relief as the Avengers visibly relaxed.
"Can we see her?" Wanda asked anxiously as she twiddled with her thumbs. "Of course. But one at a time, shes slightly loopy from the meds." You let out a laugh as you opened the door for the brunette. She gave you a smile as she walked in, you following right after her.
"Hey Natty, I'm glad you're okay." Wanda spoke as she stood beside the table the redhead laid on and gripped her hand tightly. "Of course I'm okay, I'm the fucking Black Widow. It's going to take a lot more than a few bullets to take me down."
You let out a light laugh at the assassin's words causing her and Wanda to look at you. "What's so funny, Y/L/N? Do you want to fight?" Her words only caused you to laugh even more as you shook your head.
You made your way around the table and stood next to Wanda, placing you right in front of Natasha as well. "No, I don't want to fight. I want to do the opposite of that, actually."
In this moment, you knew you couldn't hold back anymore. You needed to live the life that the people you lost, couldn't. You owed it to the ones who passed, to appreciate all the love and happiness life had to offer.
Wanda and Natasha looked at you in confusion. Before they could question you, you pulled the both of them into a tight hug. They were frozen in surprise as they felt your strong, but soft arms engulf them in your warmth.
"Will you both do me the honor of going out with me?" You asked the two stunned woman as you tightened your grip around their bodies.
Natasha was the first to snap out of it and wrap her arms carefully around you. Wanda followed soon after, hugging you back just as tightly.
"Y/N, Natasha and I have failed to get you off of our minds since we saw you. We know it's hard for you to trust people, but we hope you let us in." At Wanda's words, you lifted your head slightly, not pulling away from the hug.
"What shes trying to say is, of course we'll go out with you." Natasha, suddenly pulled out of her loopy state, spoke with a softness in her voice you never heard before.
"Yes! I just scored a date with not one, but two of the hottest woman to ever exist? What a win for me!" You said jokingly, prompting Natasha and Wanda to laugh. You nuzzled your face into Natasha's neck as you took in the feeling of their arms around you.
You had never made any physical contact with them before until now. This was a huge step and meant more to Natasha and Wanda than you could ever comprehend. This hug, although a simple gesture, meant so many things to the both of them, hell, to all three of you even. Don't get them wrong, they were ecstatic that you had asked them out, but the hug carried more weight than your words every could.
This was the beginning of a new journey for the three of you. This meant that you were comfortable and willing to let the two women in, to let them know who you truly were. Your touch was something they yearned for since they met you, and now that they got to experience it, they never wanted it to end. Little did they know, you felt the exact same way.
