Summary: I think the title sums it up 😭

Warnings: cheating, anger, crying, just general sadness.

Word Count: 593 words

• You couldn't believe it. This was the last thing you expected.Where did everything go wrong? It was hard to pinpoint when the worst moment was happening right in front of you.
• Even if you wanted to, you wouldn't be able to hear your thoughts anyway.
• Natasha's pleading was all that could be heard throughout your shared room. She tried to touch you, but you backed away, not wanting to ever be in her arms again.
Your lack of response seems to trigger something in her.
• Her apologetic begging turns into venom laced anger.Apparently this was all your fault. You were never here. Never at home with her.
You wondered when she started to believe she was more important than a job that kept food on the table and a roof over your head.
It didn't matter.
• It wasn't just the two of you that your money was paying for.
Secret guests and late night rendezvous became her normal evening activity. While you were working, she was using your absence to use another woman's body to fulfil her needs.
You told her why this time was different.
• Why this late night shift was just a ruse. The question you had planned to ask over a candlelit dinner now would never be spoken.
Not to her anyway. The look on her face at the news unbearable to look at.
• You didn't want to think about if it was real emotion or a shroud to keep whatever dignity you had left intact.
• You didn't care. You just needed to leave. The door was open and you could almost taste the freedom on your tongue. It should have been an easy task. But a hand on your wrist stopped your movements.
• Something snapped in you at the contact. The words left your mouth before you even had the chance to stop them. You screamed at her. Telling loving her was a mistake.
How she wasn't good enough for you.
• The words were impulsive but there was a truth to them.A truth Natasha has to live with.A truth Wanda now knows too.
• Neither you or Natasha heard her walking down the corridor. But Wanda had heard you.She emerged from her room after the first bout of shouting. She made her way towards the noise at your sobs.
Now she stood at the doorway as you finally released yourself from Natasha's grip.
• If looks could kill, the glare Wanda gave her would have had her dead on the spot.Natasha was lucky it was only a look Wanda gave her.Wanda didn't have time for anything else right now.
She needed to find you.
• It didn't take long. She knew you too well for you to keep yourself hidden from her.The roof was a place you went to for space.
The vast amount of stars brought you peace.Maybe peace was all you needed right now. But Wanda couldn't stand to see you cry.
She moved next to where you were sat. Wrapping her arms around you as you sobbed into her neck.
Hate was a very strong word.
But that's the only word she had to describe how she felt about Natasha right now.
• Wanda let her own tears fall silently down her cheeks.
She didn't want you to hear her pain too.You needed her too much for her to let you see her walls break down as well. She had to be strong for you.You needed her.So Wanda vowed to never leave your side.
That's what friends were for.
