Natasha Romanoff x Reader

Summary: You had been slipping between headspaces all day long- so what happens when Natasha snaps at you and loses all her patience?

Warnings: Age regression, angst, arguments, and cursing.

Word Count: 585

This morning when you had awoken, you felt fuzzy already. It wasn't a terrible feeling, but you knew you were bound to regress today. It didn't make you feel anxious or upset, but a little bit frustrated. Of course, Natasha would be there with you, but you had hoped to get some things done soon.
So you ultimately decided to brush off any feelings of your little headspace, and get ready for the day.
You hopped down the stairs and went into the kitchen to make yourself breakfast- but halted in your steps when you saw Natasha scowling by the sink. "Glad you're up. Thanks for doing the dishes that you promised to do." She scoffed.
"I'm genuinely sorry Nat, I did forget. I'll finish them after my breakfast." You promised, trying your best not to cry. The little part of you was emerging quickly- and they didn't take conflict well.
"No, you won't! Do you know why? Because you never commit to fucking anything! You always do this whole thing where you pretend you'll do something and you don't! And no, it's not just the dishes, it's everything! It's you!"
At that last sentence, your heart cracked and you immediately slipped, "I-I didn't-"
Natasha was quick to interrupt, yelling in response, "You didn't what? Mean to? That's bullshit and you know it! You've always been this way, and you'll never change. I don't even think you can." The redhead snarled.
Sobs racked through your body as you couldn't take the pain, and you ran into your bedroom and held your stuffies close to your chest. You tried to suck on your pacifier to soothe yourself, but it fell out of your mouth every time you attempted to suck on it.
You started to shake when you heard the angry footsteps of Natasha stomp up the stairs, and the bedroom door slam open. "God, of course, you-" She paused at the sight of you.
You were so small, huddling up in your blankets and surrounded by stuffed animals, tears streaming down your cheeks. It was then that Natasha felt a wave of guilt wash over her, and she knew she had to fix the mistake she had made.
"I'm so, so sorry honey. I was stupid, okay? Mommy was very, very mean. I was unfair and rude. Can you look at me, duckling?" She cooed, kneeling at the bedside to look at you.
You took a shaky breath in before moving your gaze to her. "It's okay. I was bad, mommy." You mumbled, fidgeting with the marble mesh that Natasha had given to you months ago.
"No, no you weren't. You are so, so good. You're an amazing little love, and I was wrong. I was mad, and I was the bad one, okay? Mommy's going to fix her mistake, okay?" She said, looking at you desperately.
"Can you hold me p'ease?" You mumbled, looking deep into her eyes. Just waiting for any signs of love for you- and to your relief, that's all she had.
"Of course baby. Mommy is so, so sorry. You're such a good little one, so good. I'm so proud of you, do you know that? So beautiful. So strong." She praised, running her fingers softly through your hair.
"I 'ove you, mommy. T'ank you." You muttered back, your eyes softly closing, lulling you to sleep.
"I love you so much, munchkin. Rest now, you deserve it, honey. I'll be right here when you wake up my perfect little duckling.
