"Nat? Natasha?" Clint said knocking on the door to Nat's apartment.

"Nat if you don't answer the door I'm gonna break it down." She didn't come.

"Nat come on, no one has seen or heard from you for two weeks!"
Nat came to open the door a crack, but before Clint could even look at her she had already turned around to head back to the bedroom. Clint carefully looked around the apartment and took note of the vodka bottles littering the counter and the broken plates on the floor that he assumes she broke amidst a breakdown.

"Natasha when's the last time you ate?" The redhead just continued to stare blankly at the wall.

"Natasha, have you eaten anything?" By the looks of the woman, Clint could tell the answer was no. She looked like a ghost. Her puffy red eyes, the dark bags under her eyes, the fact that she probably dropped 10 pounds told him everything he needed to know.
Barton went into the kitchen and made an attempt to clean the broken plates and glass off the floor and counter. He dug through the cabinets and fridge and found no food in sight. "I'm ordering take-out Nat!" He yelled back to her knowing she wouldn't respond.
When the food arrived he handed some to Nat who immediately placed it on the bedside table and laid back down. "You know the kids have been asking for you," Clint said in attempt to get Nat talking. "I'm not going to the farm, Clint."
"I think it might be good for you to get out of the-" Nat shot up in anger, "Don't try and tell me what is and what isn't good for me, you have no idea what I had to see up there!"

"You're right I don't know what you had to see, but Nat-"

"No shut up! I never thought I would love someone as much as I loved Y/N and I never thought someone would want to spend the rest of their life with me. But somehow the universe gave me Y/N, after all the shit the universe handed me I got one amazing thing. And then the universe took that away from me too." Natasha was holding back tears with all her might. "And you know what the worst part is! Y/N loved me so fucking much that they killed themselves so that I didn't have to! I had to see them dead at the bottom of that fucking cliff Clint! I'm never getting over that, I can't, not when I see them there every fucking time I close my eyes!"
"Natasha this isn't-"

"Don't you dare tell me this isn't my fault! If I was better or faster Y/N would be here right now and I'm the one who would be rotting at the bottom of that fucking cliff!"

"Natasha I just-"

"Clint please just get out, please," Nat looked up at him with tears flooding down her face. Nat had always been closed off, but she was getting better over time. But after your death, Clint feared she would never let someone in again.

"Okay, okay, I'll go, but please call me."
-
Natasha had been ignoring everyone's texts and calls saying they were "concerned" or that they "just wanted to check on her." Voicemail after voicemail people were expressing "concern," but Nat didn't care.
As the redhead was deleting all the unread text messages, she stumbled across a text from Clint from this morning:
Cap's returning to stones today, just thought I'd let you know. Please call me.
Immediately the redhead was dialing Clint's phone number. "Nat? Hey, I'm so glad you called! I was-"
"Did Steve return the stones yet?"
"No, I was just about to head over there though, Bruce and I are helping with the machine and whatnot."
"Pick me up on your way I'll be ready in 5."
"Nat wait-" Before Clint could even finish Nat had hung up. For the first time in three weeks, Natasha changed her clothes, took a shower, and bothered redoing the braid in her hair. She even ate one of the apples Clint had dropped off earlier that week. The moment she was done grabbing her jacket, her phone buzzed:
I'm outside.
Natasha ran down the stairs and hopped into Clint's car without saying a word to her best friend. "Natasha are you sure you want to-"
"Just drive Clint, I have to talk to Steve."
Clint knew there was no point in arguing with her, so he remained silent for the rest of the drive.
When the two arrived, Nat jumped out of the car and ran over the where she saw Steve. Sam, Bucky, and Bruce all looked in shock as they saw Natasha for the first time since the final battle with Thanos.
"I was going to text you and tell you she was coming, but I didn't know she was coming until like 20 minutes ago."
"It's good to see her out of the house," Bruce commented.
-
"Rogers," Steve jumped at the sound of her voice. "Romanoff? What the hell are you doing here?" He said as he walked over to give the woman a hug. "I need a favor."
"Anything."
"I need you to figure out of there really is no way to bring Y/N back."
"Nat-"
"Please." Tears threatened to spill from the redhead's eyes, but she refused to let the team see her breakdown again. "Okay, I'll do what I can Nat."
"Thank you."
Natasha anxiously watched as Steve disappeared from the platform and once again traveled through time.
"Returning in 3, 2, 1..." Bruce counted down. "Where is he?" Sam said panicking. "Bruce?!" Clint sprinted over to the control panel, "What happened?"
"I don't know, he should be back!"
Natasha quickly found herself unable to breathe. She couldn't lose another friend. Clint saw Nat hyperventilating out of the corner of his eye and quickly ran to her side. "It's okay, it's okay Bruce is going to fix it!"
All of a sudden a bright flash of light blinded everyone. When the flash disappeared, Nat found herself on the ground. Slowly the redhead sat up to see Steve with someone in his arms.
"Steve what the-" Bruce began before realizing who he was carrying. Natasha slowly walked over to Steve in shock. "How-"
"I gave the stone back, a soul for a soul."
You slowly stirred awake, confused as to where you were. Nat appeared in your line of view causing you to jump backwards. You looked around to see yourself surrounded by your friends, "What the hell happened?"
Natasha was sobbing in disbelief. Without a word being said, the redhead ran up to you and hugged you tighter than you have ever been hugged. "Natty," you said pulling away so you could cup her face and dry the tears that refused to stop falling. "You're here," was all the redhead managed to choke out before she once again pulled you into her tight embrace. She was clinging to you as if you were going to disappear if she wasn't holding you. "I'm here."
"I thought I lost you forever," Nat cried out. "You could never lose me forever," You said kissing her forehead.
"Let's go buy a house a-and get that cat we always talked about getting."
"What? What about our jobs don't we-"
"No, we're done detka, let's go get some of the life everyone was always telling us to get."
