a/n: I absolutely hate the new update, it's so annoying to use ugh
"I've literally been waiting here for 15 minutes," I grumbled, glaring at Calum as he exited his apartment building and stepped onto the sidewalk, beside me. "It really shouldn't take you this long to get dressed in the morning, especially given the fact that you look like trash."
He just scoffed, easily falling into step beside me as we began walking towards the subway station. "Well, you know, I'm fine with being trash. Everyone wants to take me out anyways."
"You are so fucking lame." I rolled my eyes at his stupid joke.
"Eh, you're just jealous," he grinned, sticking his tongue out at me and successfully managing to manoeuvre around a woman and a baby pram in the knick of time.
"No," I insisted, clicking my tongue. "Just annoyed that we're going to be late for the second time this month because of your inability to get dressed on time."
He grumbled something incoherent as we stepped down the stairs and into the station, swiping our metro cards at the turnstile and stepping onto the platform, and I rolled my eyes.
"Since when do you even care about being on time, hmm?" he finally asked, elbowing me in the ribs.
I gave him a look, and he groaned, raising his hands in surrender. "I'm sorry, Mr. I-Want-A-Perfect-Attendance. If it was really that important to you, you wouldn't be waiting for me in the mornings despite how long I take."
I muttered a, "Yeah, well there's a lot I'd do for you," but he probably didn't catch it, as the metro was just pulling into the station and making an awful screeching noise in the process.
"What?" he asked over the sound of the doors opening and people filing out, and I just shook my head, signalling that it was unimportant.
We stepped into the cart, trying to make ourselves as small as possible as we stood in a corner of it, letting the people in fancy suits and the elderly take the seats instead.
"What are we doing today?" he asked me, raising his eyebrows. It was a Friday morning, and our after-school plans were often made like this, in the metro on our way to school.
"Eh, Fifa at your place?" I suggested, not really having to think very hard about it. "Or does Mikey have any plans?"
Calum raised an eyebrow at me, an amused smile playing on his lips. "You know he probably has plans."
"And they most likely involve cheap beer and a movie," I answered, rolling my eyes playfully. "So is that what we're doing?"
"I'm cool with whatever, but if we have to watch Frozen again, I'm going to chop off Ashton's head."
I threw my head back and let out a sharp, loud laugh, earning glares from the other commuters, but I couldn't care less. "I'd help you with that," I agreed.
