𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 x Reader || 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆

VI.

We both walk side-by-side to the training grounds, not a single word spoken between the two of us. My mind was too focused on what had happened before meeting with Sarutobi while Kakashi's face is buried in his perv book, as usual.

As we get closer I am pulled away from my thoughts as the blonde boy rushes up to me.

"Hi (Y/N)!!" he says with a wide grin. It is so early in the morning yet he already has so much energy. Following behind him is Sakura and Sasuke. Sakura ogling over Sasuke as he keeps his hands in his pockets ignoring her.

"Good morning everyone" I speak up and nudge Kakashi who still hasn't put his book away.

"Oh, yo." He looks up and greets his students.

"Before we start training I have a small announcement, as of today, (Y/N) will be apart of Team 7. You will respect her and refer to her as (Y/N) Sensei as you would for me." His voice was very monotone yet had a sliver of happiness trailing laced between his words. I look over at the trio, Naruto has the biggest grin stretching from ear to ear, Sakura is smiling and clapping her little hands gently, and Sasuke has a small smile on his face, his eyes meeting with mine. I give him a closed-eyed smile.

It makes me happy knowing he is doing a bit better now that he has someone he can trust by his side. Although I still feel really guilty about everything he has been through. Nobody should have to suffer for so long all by themselves. But who am I to talk. I was alone for a long time.

Snapping back to reality, I am met with Kakashi's masked face. The kids have already gone off to spar behind him. His hands placed gently on my shoulders.

"Are you alright (Y/N)?" I tilt my head at the man and just nod.

"If you want to talk about it after training we could" He asks, his voice was soft and reassuring. It was nice.

He was worried about me. Or was it just pity? Even so, why do I feel so drawn to him?

"I would like that" I say quietly. He nods and we both walk towards the trio.

Sasuke and Naruto were both in fighting stance. Sakura was standing off to the side cheering Sasuke on, not giving Naruto a care in the world. She was blinded by her adoration of Sasuke.

It looks like they had just finished sparing since they both were covered in dirt and had a few cuts and scuffs on their faces.

Kakashi and I share a glance, "If I'm still sane by the time I finish their training, it'll be a miracle." I chuckle softly at his remark, although I wholeheartedly understand. He has quite the interesting group of students.

The three of them look over and rush over to us. "Hey, (Y/N) Sensei you should totally spar with Kakashi Sensei! That would be so cool!" I look up to Kakashi and he gives me a closed eye smile.

"Only if she would like to" the slight sound of cockiness in his voice was enough to get me to accept.

"It would be such an honor to spar with The Copy Cat Ninja" I smile to him.

With that we both back up to our designated spots and get into our stances.

I haven't done this in a while but it is so cool to be doing it with Kakashi since I had always looked up to him. I look up at him and blink a bit shocked, instead of only seeing one of his eyes, I am met with both. One a deep grey, the other a Sharingan. He wasn't an Uchiha, of course, but it was given to him by his now deceased comrade, Obito. It was interesting to see him use his Sharingan especially for a little spar between the two of us. I don't think I stand a chance.

I don't even think my family had anything special going on with them. Then again I don't even really remember them. I never really was told about my parents or my clan. I wonder if we had a cool Kekkai Genkai, although I am sure we do, I have read about it somewhere. I just don't know what.

The (L/N) Clan was full of nobles and rich people. Many wanted their riches and basically wanted to get after them. They were the kings and queens of false promises and made a lot of enemies. So no wonder they were all wiped out. They probably messed with someone they shouldn't have.

Snapping my head back up my eyes meet with Kakashi's again. "You ready?" He states, I simply nod and pull out my kunai.

He charges at me.

'I must play this safe, he has Sharingan so he basically has access to any chakra nature. However, his default is lightning and earth, whereas mine are wind and water. Lightning doesn't do well against wind but water doesn't do good against earth. Soo, we are both on the same level at the moment if he doesn't use his Sharingan.' As he gets closer I swiftly zip behind him and land a kick on his lower back.

He grunts and quickly turns around and starts forming a chidori in his hands, it is the technique he had recently taught Naruto. Quickly, I use Boufuu Kyouzuu no Jutsu (Gale Surge) which is a defensive wind justsu to knock Kakashi backwards and stop his rasengan. I jump back a few feet to create some more distance between the two of us as he gets back up again. He has a few scrapes all over him, he is even covered in dust from him hitting the floor.

As soon as he is up he shoots a fireball jutsu at me. Using the early morning mist around me I quickly use my water charka nature to create a dome around me to dispel the affects of the blast.

We have been fighting for around 45 minutes now. I was starting to get really exhausted. Kakashi seemed more cocky then ever sending attack after attack, never giving any second to recover.

After finally being able to land a kick on him I use Suihou no Jutsu (Water Cannon Technique) and release a big jet stream of boiling water at him. As usual he teleports behind me and uses his chidori, knocking the wind out of me.

At this point we were both at our limits. Shakily, I look up from the ground and stare at him putting my hands up, "You win" I say between breaths.

A smirk forms beneath his mask and I huff. He kneels in front of me and offers me his hand, "You are pretty good, I haven't had that fun training with someone in ages." I smile softly at the comment and take his hand, he pulls me up and slings my arm over his shoulder to keep me up.

The trip run over and look at us, their eyes beaming with excitement.

"Can you teach us those cool justsus (Y/N) sensei!?" Naruto speaks up and I nod, "Of course."

"You did good, sis" Sasuke says quietly and I couldn't help but smile at him and nod.

I don't think I did that well, but if Kakashi was getting exhausted then I must have done something.

After wrapping up training with the kids Kakashi walks me to my apartment. We both stand at the door, the sun beating down on us. "I enjoyed our spar" He says with a little smile forming under his mask. "I did too" I smile to him and unlock the door.

"Did you wan't to talk about it?" His voice changed, it was soft, calming.

"Talk about what?" I play dumb.

"What happened earlier, I know things must've been hard all those years. You endured so much all by yourself" His brows are knotted together, knotted in worry.

I sigh softly and gesture for him to come inside.

Once he is in I close the door behind him and lock it. "Make yourself at home" I say and place some tea for the both of us on the kettle.

I KEPT PROCRASTINATING THROUGHOUT BREAK IM SORRY .

i was planning on getting out more chapters but I ended going to vegas lol. but anyways i will leave it here and release a new chapter hopefully later today and tmrw.
