IX.

I sit up from my futon and begin stretching. My head was pounding. Looking over to the empty futon I slowly get out of bed, slipping on my clothes and gear. Quickly, finished getting ready in the restroom. I start shoving all my belongings into my bag and as I finish packing Sakura bursts into the room causing me to jump a little.

"Oh! (Y/N) Sensei, you are awake! Sorry if I startled you." I shake my head, "No worries, good morning. What time is it?" I ask, slinging my bag over my shoulder.

"Almost 11:30, Kakashi Sensei said you needed your rest since you didn't look well last night and ordered me to let you sleep until noon." I hum in response and she speaks up again, "Kei Miko and everyone else is outside, we should get going." I nod and follow behind her as she leads us outside. The creepy man in the main hall of the inn wasn't there to my relief but as we step outside he is there, talking with Kakashi.

Immediately I feel the man look up to me. "Uh, good morning everyone," I say awkwardly.

Kakashi's lips curl upward under his mask forming a smile completely ignoring the desk man as if her weren't here anymore, "Good morning (Y/N). How are you feeling?" He walks over placing his hand on my forehead to check my temperature. "I'm feeling a bit better, I think my body just needed some rest is all." That was partially a lie. He studies me for a sec before nodding.

"Is everyone ready?" The silver-haired jonin turns to everyone else as they nod. The creepy man from the desk then walks over to me placing a hand on my back and giving me a few thermoses filled with fluid. "Take these with you ma'am," His voice was scratchy. I shiver, "T..Thank you sir." He grins widely at me as Kakashi steps between us and announces our departure.

Finally, we were leaving that place.

We begin walking out of the town and back into the seemingly never-ending forests. I am at the back again. Scouting around for places Kakashi may have missed. Which right now, I know he is missing a lot. There Kei is, leeching herself onto Kakashi's arm once again, just as she did before we entered the last town.

She was quite snobbish and bratty. For a C-Rank mission it was interesting hearing people are after her. If that is the case this mission should be at least a B-Rank. However, nobody has tried anything yet so we are good.

Time was passing pretty quickly. We had been walking for about 7 hours with breaks in between. Kakashi led us to a small clearing in the forest where we can set up camp for the night. We all had separate sleeping bags, meaning Kei wouldn't get to share a sleeping space with Kakashi tonight.

Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke began scouting for wood to start a fire while i sat in the slightly dampened grass. My mind was all over the place. Everything from the past few days has been somewhat overwhelming. Walking for hours upon hours, being back in Konoha, Sasuke, the creepy worker at the inn, Kei Miko, and Kakashi. My body was tired. I as a whole being was tired.

I stare off into the greenery until a certain girl comes to take a seat next to me.

"Hello (Y/N)," I look over and smile a bit. Kei. "Hello."

I feel her eyes on me and turn to meet her gaze, "Are you and Kakashi a thing?" She spits, her words catch me a bit by surprise.

My face heats up and I quickly look to the ground shaking my head, "No..I. uh,, we aren't." A grin forms, spreading across her pale face, "Good, he is way out of your league anyways." She says. I look back at her, "What." I completely deadpanned at the statement.

Just as Kei goes to open her mouth, Kakashi appears just before me, greeting us both with his close-eyed smile. "You two seem to be having  quite the conversation," He obviously wasn't serious when he said that, but Kei didn't seem to pick up.
