XXVI.

You woke up the next morning with probably the best night's rest you have ever gotten, looking over, the other side of the bed was empty.

Pushing the blankets off of you, you sling your legs off the side of the bed and get up. As you open the door of your bedroom you smell something sweet coming from your kitchen.

Turning the corner of your hallway you see Kakashi in your apron fixing pancakes for the two of you.

He doesn't seem to notice you at first.

"Is that my apron Kashi?" You laugh a little at the sight, it was quite cute.

He looks up, his maskless face almost caught you off guard. You didn't think it was possible but he always looks this good. His hair was messy and his skin was glowing.

You were lucky.

Making your way over to him he smiles, "Yes it is, I think I look good in it too." He flips over a pancake while talking and places another one on a plate handing it to you.

You sit down on the chair next to Kakashi and start eating your food when you hear a knock at the door.

Assuming it was Sasuke was back you and unlock it.

"Good morning Sasuke" you smile at him.

"Did you use prote-" You place your hands over his mouth and roll your eyes. He shrugs as his attempt of getting information out of you failed.

"Kakashi is making breakfast, would you like some?" Sasuke nods taking a seat on the couch in the living room.

You had grown increasingly worried of Sasuke doing something drastic now that he has that cursed seal placed upon him.

Not only that, but you were quite mad at yourself for not being there to help. Of course, it was out of your control, it still made you upset with yourself for not being more careful.

Sharing a glance with Kakashi he takes a plate over to Sasuke and he begins eating in silence.

You nor team 7 were scheduled for training for another day or so. Kakashi was still on guard in case Itachi attempted on making contact with you once more.

The two of you had come to the conclusion that he does not know you have told Kakashi or Sasuke about him, which is why nothing has happened to you yet.

Maybe he was just waiting. For you to be alone again.

The day seemed to go by quickly.

Nothing too interesting happened, you cleaned, cooked, took a nap. That was really it.

Kakashi was in and out of the house buying food and other miscellaneous items, but Sasuke stayed with you for company so that you weren't left alone.

You were happy they were caring for you, but you felt like they had just been babysitting you.

Kakashi had finally scheduled a light training with Team 7 tomorrow afternoon, he wanted to keep the kiddos up on their training while also being gentle with you, not wanting to push you over your body's limits at the moment.

You were quite happy about it and looked forward to seeing Sakura and Naruto again. Things must have been so stressful for them.

The sun had already set and the moon and the stars shined brightly in the night sky. It was around 9pm at this point. You were reading a book on the couch when Kakashi finally returns. You didn't know what took him so long, especially since he had walked into the house with only two bags of food.
