𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 x Reader || 𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆

XXIII.

Your heart skipped a beat as you open the curtains to reveal Kisame with a smug grin peering into your hospital room. You stumbled backwards in shock, losing your footing until you feel yourself in someone's arms. It was Itachi.

You struggle against him, not want to be touched by him or Kisame. He notices this and simply lets you go.

"What are you guys doing here." You question shakily.

"Why hello to you too sis," Itachi walks over to the window and opens it to let Kisame in. He crawls into the room and stands beside Itachi.

"Hello (Y/N), what a wonderful night to see such a wonderful woman," Kisame says. He had yet to wipe that disgusting grin off of his face, and it was really starting to annoy you.

Simply ignoring him, you look back at Itachi, "What are you doing here, if you have nothing important to say I want you out." You were really in no place to be talking to the two of them like this since they could quite literally kill you at any moment given the vulnerable state you are currently in.

"I just came to check on you," he says. You, however, did not believe him in the slightest, especially since he is the reason you are here in the first place.

"Why would you want to check on me? Are you feeling guilty for being the reason I am here in the first place?" He looks confused as words spew from your mouth.

"I am not following; I am not the reason you are here." You scoff in disbelief.

"The scroll? The one you gave to Ankoku, and the poison that Meiko was apparently given to use on me?" He shakes his head as you speak.

"I never wrote a scroll. Nor do I know an Ankoku or Meiko? I am not following." You sigh at his response.

"If it was not you, then who was it? Because Ankoku said it was definitely you he made exchanges with." At this point you were quite irritated. You had zero clue who of the two were lying to you.

"Look, I have zero clue who this Ankoku is, (Y/N) but I am not the reason you are here, what was on this scroll you are talking about?" He and Kisame share an odd glance with one another that you picked up on.

"Basically, said that your clan had lied about my parents giving me to yours at the age of 5. It said that your clan slaughtered mine and that because I was the only infant alive at the time of the slaughter, they kept me alive to give the 'new generation' a chance. It also said that I should take revenge and bring justice to my clan by murdering the rest of the living Uchihas starting with Sasuke."

Itachi just stared at you with the most apathetic look on his face, "I can assure you; it was not me who wrote such a thing, nor do I know if that information is true or not. However, I may look into it. Not for you, but for my own personal gain."

"If you say so," Was all that came out your mouth as you lay in your hospital bed. This whole situation you were in was getting old.

"Remember, (Y/N). Not a word of me visiting you," He says as Kisame also buts in.

"Yeah, or else we will have to murder you, not that I mind. I am sure you would look won-"

"That is enough, Kisame," Itachi says.

He was a sadistic freak; you disliked that fish guy with your whole being. You sat there as Kisame quietly bickered back and forth with Itachi about what he was trying to say. They were like some old married couple.

You clear your throat, "Can you leave now? I don't know about you, but I just got out of a coma and still feel like crap, so can you both just get out?" Usually, you would not be one to talk to anyone like this, but until you get to the bottom of everything going on, you will not be tolerating anyone's bullshit.

"Until next time, Sis. but remember what we agreed on. We will be watching." And with that both he and Kisame were gone.

Letting out a long sigh you sit back down on the bed and look at the IV in your arm. This past 2 weeks have been a complete drag. Why is so much going on in such a short span of time. Why do you feel like you are the center of everything bad going on around you.

It had all be almost too much to bear.

As you get comfortable in your bed in your bed your mind begins to wander.

You wonder why all your life has been filled with despair and pain. Had you done something to deserve it? Maybe this is all happening for a reason you may never know.

It was a lot to handle alone.

You feel maybe telling someone like Tsunade, or Kakashi would be your best bet in this situation and they could probably lend the help you so desperately need.

However, the guilt of lying to Kakashi, Sasuke, and the rest of Team 7's face was really bothering you. They only want the best for you. When you were attacked in the forest, they seemed to know something happened, but you lied and said you had fallen and were just dizzy. When you were released from the hospital for the injuries sustained in the forest and found Itachi in your room, Kakashi came to your aid sensing something was off, and yet again, you lied.

You were actually terrified of what they would think of you once you tell them what has been really going on. The thought of Kakashi, and even Sasuke being unable to trust you was scary.

Team 7 was all you really have left. The Itachi you had known when you were younger? He is gone. Your clan? Murdered by who knows. Your adoptive family? Murdered by a boy you thought was so sweet and caring when you had once known him. Your second clan? The Uchihas? Also murdered by that very same boy.

Maybe you would actually tell someone. But even then you were skeptical with your own thoughts.

Letting out a sigh, you curl up into your blankets, not wanting to think any longer and fall into a deep sleep.

hello ! back with another quick update:)

it has almost been a year of me publishing this fanfic (feb. 21st) so i was wondering what you all would like to see for when it hits 1 year (anniversary special, smut, honestly almost anything just give ideas) !

i really need to stop updating so late as it is 1:30am rn and i have to wake up at 6:30 since i start my new job today.
