A week has passed since the night Itachi and Kisame appeared in your home and quite some bit has happened since then. The chunin exams were a week away, and Team 7 has been training hard while showing lots of progress. This had made Kakashi super proud to see everyone growing together as a team. Each day you would wake up around 4 and meet at the training grounds around 4:45.
Practice had consisted of many practice scenarios that challenged their critical thinking and reaction skills. This would be very helpful for them during the chunin exams considering who knows who or what they may face. It is always better to be prepared for what's to come.
Aside from the fake practice scenarios, lots of sparring had taken place. Of course the kids were sparring you and Kakashi. It was incredible to see how much they have grown in this short couple of months with them.
Training had usually ended in the late afternoon just before dinner, which left everyone tired, but we had all seemed to been enjoying this week's practice.
Practice had just ended for you and the rest of Team 7, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were trailing behind you and Kakashi who were a bit further ahead of the group.
The five of you had a summons to see the Hokage immediately. You were begging for him to be assigning mission, we hadn't been sent on one in a while. Kakashi was at least hoping he assigns us to one more before the chunin exams start for that extra boost.
You all reach the entrance to Lord the Third's office and wait for permission from the anbu to be granted entry. This surprising took a while.
"What is taking this old man so long?" Naruto begins complaining and you quickly hush him. You were curious as to what was taking long but Naruto was only making the wait more painful.
"The Hokage is a very busy man, Naruto" Kakashi states, while staring at his porn book.
You let out a sigh and the door flings open making you jump slightly.
The anbu turn to you and allow team 7 to head inside.
As you all stand before Lord the Third, he scans over each of you individually. It was the type of stare that would make you uncomfortable.
After observing each of you he finally speaks, "As you may know, chunin exams are next week. Has Team 7 deemed worthy of participating?" He asks questionably.
