Theresa's POV (principal's office)

"How do you know this?" I asked the black haired boy who stared at me with his eyes which had rage in them.

"I'm not stupid, Theresa. I do know how to prepare for missions. I read important information regarding the situation where my mission is."

I sighed. I guess I asked the obvious.

"You sent that girl to be a lab rat for the gem of desire." His glare intensifies.

I got up from my chair and stood facing the window.

"I believed that she was perfect for it and don't regret it at all." I said.

"You may not regret it but what about that girl who had to suffer for it?" He shot back.

"It was....for the...better of humanity." I spoke with grit teeth.

"Maybe that's what you think. But sometimes actions of few may cause many others regret. That's what happened during the second eruption. Instead of trying to prevent the existence of a herrscher, the facility created one. And moreover the facility belonged to the Schicksal. Who were supposed to be protecting humanity from honkai!" He spoke with venom in his voice.

"It was-" There was a knock on the door and it opened.

"Principal, I brought the files." She then looked between Kotaro and me.

"Uhh..am I disturbing something?" She scratched her neck.

"Not at all, Himeko-Sensei. I was just asking Principal Theresa some doubts about the mission tomorrow. Which she cleared it." He said to Himeko with a smile and turned towards me with a serious look of determination.

"Thank you for clearing my doubt, principal Theresa. I'll take my leave now." He bowed and left.

I was lying when I said I had no regrets. My single choice had ruined the life of a girl who would have been S-rank if I didn't agree to the experiment. And....

. . . .how does he know so much about the second eruption. I don't think this much information was there in what he brought back from the lab. Unless...

"......eresa! Aunt Theresa!" Someone shook me violently. I shook my head. Now is not the time to be stuck in these thoughts. We should be saving Wendy, Bronya and Mei.

"I'm awake. I'm awake." I told Kiana.
I looked front and saw the gate of ME Corp up ahead.

"ME Corp is up ahead. Ready to break in?" I asked my niece.

"Of course! Eh? Why is Aunt Theresa leading this operation? Where's aunt Himeko? Is she slacking off?"

"I heard that young lady. I won't let you off easily if I heard you say that again.
ME Corp is a very dangerous place, so I'm coming in with you. If you went in by yourself, you'd be more dead than dead." Himeko said.

"I'll be joining in too! After all it takes three valkyries to form a complete lineup."

"Both of you. I can't thank you enough." Kiana said with a smile.

"Just keep smiling.......alright, wipe that disgusting grin off your face. I'll settle for a "thank you". Gosh." Himeko sighed.

"Heheheh." Kiana only grinned more.
