3rd POV

Under the clear blue sky, the birds spread their wings far and took flight through the clouds, their songs still reaching the ears of people on the pavement, hurrying to reach the places they needed to be.

The world is recovering, St.Freya is peaceful again. There is a new principal in the school and a new Overseer at Schiksal. Everything is going well...except for some things.

The wind brushed past the grass, past the garden of flowers, and past the face of the white haired girl, who was staring wistfully at the flowers.

"The world was just saved...and I have tons of homework to do again." Kiana sighed as she rested her chin on the stone railing.

She looked at the colorful flowers as their petals were lifted into the air by the wind.

She let out a huge sigh.

Her thoughts and sighs were interrupted as she heard steps coming towards her.

"That's one huge sigh. What's the matter, Kiana-chan?" It was Mei, she was in a cozy light clothing, unlike her usual ready-to-fight battlesuit.

"Ah! Mei-senpai!" Kiana lightened up and sat straight. "I was just thinking about homework. Are you already ready?" She asked looking at her clothes and the bag in her hand.

Mei nodded and sat down beside her, "I wasn't expecting the vacation request to be approved so fast."

"That's the thing. It seems Aunt Teriri was going to suggest you to take a vacation in the first place. So you should have seen her face when you asked first." Kiana laughed as she recalled the shock and relief on Theresa's face.

"I'm glad that Principal, is the Overseer now. I thought when Anti-entropy and Schicksal combined, Mr. Yang would be the one to become Overseer." Mei said thoughtfully.

"It seems that was the plan by Aunt Teriri and the doctors but at the last moment, Mr. Yang said that he wanted to continue making games instead. You know..the Arahato?"

Mei made a surprised expression.
"Is that where Bronya is going too?"

"She is. And *Hmph!* when I asked her to help me with the homework before she went, she just said, 'I'm busy' and kicked me out with Project Bunny." Kiana puffed her cheeks annoyed, Mei let out a soft sigh and a smile.

"I'll be really lonely without you and Bronya here. And who will help with my homework!?"

Mei giggles softly, "You can just ask Ko-"
She stops mid-sentence when she realized what she was about to say. She fakes a cough and continues. "You can just ask Durandal-san or Sirin-san. I'm sure they would be happy to help. At least, I'd bet that Sirin-San would jump at the idea."

Kiana made a bittersweet smile as her thoughts were still at what Mei said at the beginning.

Mei realizing that saying anymore would be awkward so she stood up.

"I'll see you later, Kiana-chan. If you need me, I'm just a call away." Mei patted Kiana's head and walked away.

"Mei-senpai."

She stopped and turned back at the call of her name. She waited patiently when she saw Kiana fidgeting.

"Do you think......that I should have..."

She looked down and clenched her fist.

Sensing her hesitating, Mei walked to her and pet her head gently.

Kiana finding her courage asked.

"Do you think that I should have tried my best to stop Ko-Senpai?"
