Kotaro's POV

"Oh?" I barely stepped out of the portal only to perceive a familiar energy.

"As expected, you're here," said the girl that appeared within my view just a second later, as I exited the portal. Contrary to her soft voice, her expression was so flat, it could rival that of Bronya.

I raised an eyebrow and gave a small smile.

"Kept you waiting, huh?"

"..." But she gave me a silent response.

"..." In return, I did the same.

Now, the overall situation was dead silent... if I ignore that weird sound coming from the abyssal depths beside us.

"As tempting as it is to stare into each others' eyes...What do you want?" I broke the silence.

"Answers." She answered shortly.

"To?"

"You should already know."

"...oh, I see. So this is what it's all about, huh?"

I sighed out loud before taking a glance at our surroundings. It truly was a magnificent sight. Seemingly-endless reach of the limit of my eyesight, making it as if I'm looking deep into nothingness.

Forget it, no time dwelling too much on these useless thoughts. I still have a job to do.

"What makes you think that I'm the right person who has the answer to what you're trying to find?" I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly. "Sure, I might know what you need. But that may not be what you want to hear."

"..." She gave me a silent response, yet again.

"Forget it." I waved my hand and turned away from her. I could feel her light blue eyes bore into my back like needles.
"I don't have anything for you. So leave already, I'm quite a busy person, if you can't tell."

*Shing*

She held a javelin that suddenly appeared by her side.

A sigh left my mouth yet again as this reaction was already within my expectation, perhaps my hope of her going away that easily was too much.

"I refuse." She said clearly.

In response, I only crossed my arms in front of my chest and stared at her silently over my shoulder.

What should I do now? I'm in a hurry since there isn't much time until the rest eventually find out Kevin's location.

"No matter what you say, I'm quite certain that only you know the answer to my question. There's no possible way that you don't. After all, you... are my creator."

"..." Oops. How did I get caught?

"So tell me... Why did you make me? For what purpose do I serve in this world? Just what... is the reason behind all of this?"

She looked at me, the pair of light blue eyes were staring intently at my own. Her long white hair, along with the purple highlights here and there, swayed as she pointed her javelin at me.

I sighed, yet again, for the third time.

"Misteln Schariac... or should I call you Hare, now? Nonetheless, a name isn't really that important to you, is it?"

My feet started moving, bringing me to her, and I circled around her slowly.

"You---"

"Ah wait, nope. My bad. To the you right now, it's actually important, isn't it? After all, that name is the only thing you could hold onto to verify..."
