(Isobel's POV)
I laid quietly wrapped in my soft silky quilts. Throughout the night I had tossed and turned thinking of the special event that would happen tomorrow. It was currently 5:30am and a small glint of sunlight peaked through my bedroom window. At 5pm today I would be boarding the largest and most magnificent ship know to mankind, the Titanic. Eventually, I would have to get ready and meet James to board the ship. Words could not express my pure excitement.I sat up straight in my king sized bed and stared at my wooden Roman clock. It was now 5:58am but I decided to get up 2 minutes early. I rose from my bed and my night dress rolled down my body as I ascended. Watching carefully, I stared out of my bedroom window, my emerald eyes focusing on unimportant details like The Valley up ahead.James and I had visited a few months ago. James had always loved to take me on picnics and I enjoyed it very much. The sun had risen quite lot since I had first woken up. An orange and pinkish hue blended on the horizon, creating an ombré affect in the sky. I sighed deeply through my nose. Today would be one of the greatest of my life.
6:15. I stepped into my walk in closet to pick out my outfit for the day. Everyone in my family had a walk in closet but mine was definitely the biggest. Since I was just a baby I would be caught in a trance by all things shiny and beautiful. I would stare gormlessly at the jewels on my mothers dress for hours. After a few minutes of contemplating my outfit choices, I decided on a divine pearly white dress that reached my knees and a matching corset that my father insisted I wore. It was embroidered with a green thread on the hemline and sleeves and it matched my eyes perfectly. I tied my mousy shoulder length hair up with a sage hair ribbon and accessorised with my locket and boots.
By 7:00am I was ready to meet James and my father downstairs. I was feeling rather excited to see James since we hadn't talked in over a week as he was away on a business trip. I quickly made my bed and darted out of my room excitedly.
"Hello Isobel. You are looking very delightful today." A familiar and clear voice called out as I entered the kitchen. James. There he was, hair slicked back, smartest suit on, stubbled beard from being away for a while. Grinning, he beckoned me over and invited me to sit down in my own house.
"Hello James, I've missed you." I gave him a slight peck on the cheek and stared deeply into his chestnut brown eyes. The way that he was looking at me indicated he had missed me too.
"Enough with the lovey dovey! Save it for the boat." My father mumbled in a gruff tone. He was sat opposite us, newspaper in hand the front page was the announcement that the Titanic would be setting sale at 5pm today. My father started to twirl his long grey moustache around his bony finger but he only did that when he was deep in thought. I couldn't descifre if he was feeling anxious or excited about boarding the Titanic this evening. I shrugged the thought away and enjoyed my eggs and sausages prepared by our lovely maid.
