Chapter 15- Don't go

*Lee's Point Of View.*

Another 10 minutes had passed before we were finally able to go into Stephanie's room to see her. Oli was the first to walk in, soon followed by me and the other guys. The first thing we were able to see was Stephanie laying in the hospital bed, not moving a muscle, as many hooks were stuck into her transferring different liquids into her system.

"Stephanie." Oli gasps walking to her bedside instantly taking her hand in his as carefully as he could, so he didn't interfere with the cannula that was implanted into her small hand. "Steph, please, can you hear me?"

"She's in a coma." a nurse then says as she walks into the room.

"What?" Oli asks clearly hoping he had heard the nurse wrong.

"She's in a coma. She lost a lot of blood and so we had to medically put her into a coma in order for her to recover, that is if she recovers." The nurse explains which instantly makes my heart drop- she might die? I can't lose my best friend.

"People don't always wake up from comas though, do they?" Oli asks in slight shock.

"No, they don't, I'm sorry." the nurse apologises looking between Oli and the rest of us who were standing in the corner of the room.

"People don't always wake up from comas yet you put my baby sister into a fucking coma for her to survive. Oh yeah, she's really going to survive, isn't she?" Oli rhetorically asks raising his voice slightly.

"Oli mate, calm down." Nicholls then says stepping towards Oli.

"Calm down? Fucking calm down? Oh please, how can I calm down when the hospital, the people who are meant to fucking save Stephanie's life, basically fucking killed her by putting her into a coma?" Oli continues to shout.

"Sir, if you don't calm down, I will have to call security to take you out." the nurse says calmly looking at Oli.

"You want to take me away from my baby sister when she's dying? Me, the only biological family she has here right now in this fucking country?" Oli then says through gritted teeth- he really needs to calm down, for Stephanie's sake, maybe I should say something? What do I say?

"Oli seriously, you need to calm down. Think about Stephanie." Vegan then says which makes Oli let out a sigh.

"Visiting hours finish at 9:00, you guys are going to have to leave then." the nurse smiles weakly before walking out.

visiting hours finish at 9:00, it's 7:00 now. 2 hours, that's all we have with Stephanie. 2 hours isn't enough time. All the time in the world isn't enough time with Stephanie.

"You know, people say that someone who is in a coma can still hear you and like it when people talk to them." Jordan suddenly says after a moment of silence between us all.

"Shit." Oli curses before looking at Stephanie and walking towards her taking hold of her hand once again. "Steph, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I allowed you to get to this stage where you thought death was your best option. I'm sorry I shouted at you all those times, I should have listened to you instead of shout at you, I should have-" That's it, Oli cracked.

"Oli mate, maybe we should go get a drink quickly." Nicholls says to a crying Oli as he places a hand on Oli's shoulder.

"But Stephanie..."

"Will be fine, Lee, Jordan and Vegan will stay here with her. Come on mate, you should really get some fresh air and some coffee will do you good."

"Alright." Oli sniffles slightly.

And with that, the pair of them walk out of the room leaving me, Jordan, and Vegan. Soon I feel a nudge in my side, and I turn to see Vegan looking at me.

"You should go talk to her." he says softly which makes me let out a barely audible sigh.

Once I'm sat in the chair next to her bed, I carefully take her hand in mine as I feel my heart ache at the sight of her.

"Hey Steph." I say just above a whisper as I feel a sad smile creep upon my face.

I don't know what else to say to her. Anything I say or do won't make her reply. She's in a coma. she can't respond to anything and that's what breaks my heart. I can't hear her laugh, her voice. We can't have our inside jokes with each other.

"You really care for her, don't you?" Vegan suddenly asks as I feel a tear slip down my face.

"Vegan, not a good time right now mate." Jordan says.

"I don't want to lose her; I can't lose her. She's my best friend... I think I love her." I mumble slightly through my tears.

"Lee..."
