Makayla's POV:

I'm sitting in my AP world history class waiting for the bell to ring so that I could hurry off to lunch. Looking next to me it seems that Sofe is just as bored as me.

Missy who was sitting next to Sofe was trying to stay awake. I don't blame her. Listening Mrs. Jone is about as fun as watching paint dry.

After another ten minutes the bell finally rang. "Make sure you all finish the reading and take notes on it before tomorrows class" she called after all of the kids who hurried out of her class room.

"God, I thought that class would never end" Sofe groaned as she walked out of the class room.

"As much as I love Mrs. Jones, she is so boring" I told them.

"I know I've only been here for a week, but I swear that lady could put a puppy with the zoomies to sleep" Missy added in her sweet country accent.

We both laughed as we continued to make our way to the lunch room. I picked out a salad from the lunch line while Missy and Sofe both got burgers and fries.

"I guys" I greeted as I sat down at the table in between Atlas and Missy. Lilly was in front of me with Thomas on her left and Sofe on her right.

"What's up guys" Thomas said.

"Hey" Lilly smiled.

I started to zone out a little as everyone started talking about their plans for the weekend.

"What about you Makayla? What are you doing this weekend" Missy asked bringing the conversation back to me.

"I'm probably just going to hang out with my brothers" I shrugged. The rest of much was spent mostly complaining about our classes.

When the bell went off we all said our goodbyes and headed off to our next classes. Just like last year me and Atlas had Study hall right after lunch.

"Do you wanna go outside today or to the library" Atlas asked looking down at me. Those where out favorite two spots.

"It looks like it's sunny today, so let's get some fresh air" I smiled. We made small talk as we made our way out of the school.

Wind smacked me in the face as soon as we opened the doors. A shiver ran down my spine at the oddly cool weather.

Without missing a beat Atlas took off his jacket and wrapped it around me. "What about you" I asked him pulling the jacket closer to myself.

If I'm being completely honest I'm not giving this back to him. It's really warm and it smells to nice. I only said that to seem nice. "I'm fine" Atlas shrugged.

We made our we to our usual spot at the top of the bleachers. I pulled out my Spanish notebook and textbook before starting to work on some note.

"So Makayla, I was thinking" Atlas started making my eyes snap up to his. "Since you aren't busy this weekend we could go to the mall on Saturday" he finished. He seemed almost nervous.

"Sure. Lilly and Missy won't be able to come since there busy, bust I'm sure Thomas and Sofe would be able to make it" I said with a bright smile.

"No, I meant just the two of us" he nervously corrected me. I felt heat spread to my cheeks at the thought of the two of us spending time together.

"You mean like a dated" I asked him.

"I was hoping" he said with a sheepish grin.

I felt a wide smile stretch across my face. "I would love to" I told him. Atlas let out a sigh like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
