Makayla POV:

I walked into the classroom and looked around. There where a lot of large desk that sat up to four people. There where stools instead of normal chairs. In the center of the desk was a bunch of art supplies.

There where colorful drawings and paintings covering the entire room. Every the ceiling tiles where painted. I looked around the room for a familiar face.

My eye stoped when I saw Sophie sitting with another boy. I walked over to her table and sat down in front of her. "Hey Makayla" sapphire said with a bright smile on her face.

"Hey Sophie" I smiled back. "Oh this is Thomas" she said pointing to the boy sitting next to her. He had messy brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing black jeans and a camo hoodie.

"Hey new kid" he said to me. "Hey" I said giving him a small wave. "Ok class today where going to be free drawing, but before we start I would like to introduce everyone to our new student, Makayla" he said pointing to me.

Everyone's head snapped to me and I felt heat speeding across me cheeks. "Sophia can you make sure that Makayla know where everything is in this class" he asked. She replied with an ok.

"Ok class get to work" he said clapping his hands. "Ok so colored pencils, markers, and stuff like that is in the bin in the center of the table.

There are pencil sharpeners all around the room. And then you can find stuff like clay, paints and yarn in the drawers around the room. Also on that wall in a large file where we put incomplete pieces" she said pointing to where everything is.

She handed me a piece of paper and I got to work. I had no clue where I was going with this, I just drew some lines and let my mind take over.

"Wow Makayla that looks really good" Sophie commented looking at my artwork. I looked down to see why I had drawn.

It was a family portrait with six boys in it. In the corner you could see a shadow of a girl. "Thanks Sophie. Yours looks amazing" I told her truthfully.

I wasn't lying, her piece looked lovey. It was a softball flying out of the picture. The only thing that was in focus was the softball. It gave a really cool new prospective of the batter.

"Hey what about my artwork" Thomas pouted. I looked down at his paper to find a bunch of stick figures playing baseball. "Well it's certainly unique" Sophie said.

"Yea very unique" I repeated. "Aww thanks guys. I was worried that it was a little to basic but if you two like it then it must be good" he beamed with a bright smile.

Sophie and I shared a look before turning back to Thomas. "So Makayla, where did you come from" Thomas asked me. "I moved here form North Carolina" I told him.

Sophie opened her mouth to say something else but before she could the bell rang. "Ok class but your artwork in your file and have a good day" Mr. Clay called.

We all headed over to our class period's self and put our artwork on It. "Come on you guys the best class is next" Thomas groaned.

"I thought we had lunch next" I asked confused. Both Sophie and Thomas laughed at my question making some people in the hallway turn to look at us.

"He is talking about lunch" Sophie said still laughing. "But that's not a class" I said still confused. "People who hate pretty much every other class tend to call lunch there favorite class" Sophie told me sobering up. "Oh" I mumbled.

We made our way to the cafeteria and headed into the lunch line. The food looked really good. There was some sushi, salmon, rice, fresh fruit and way more.
