A few weeks later...

Kylie's pov

I know that Cain is working but I start calling him to let him know that I'm going out with Natalie.

He picks up the phone after the third ring.

"Hi, baby" I say to Cain on the phone.

"What's up"

"I just wanted to let you know that I'm going out with Natalie tonight," I tell him. I just don't want him to be mad at me for not telling him because he hates when he doesn't know where I am. It worries him which is cute.

"Oh, you are? Where are you guys going?" he questions.

"Just to one of Natalie's friend's parties"

"Ok, babe just don't do anything stupid" he says darkly. What is his problem? what would I do that could be stupid? But I answer him anyway.

"You know I would never do that"

"I know. I was just messing with you" he says laughing.

"Oh"

"Have fun"

"I will. Good night babe." I say.

"Good night, love" he says ending the phone call.

Cain's pov

"Who was that" my co-worker Carter asks.

"It was my girlfriend"

"What did she want?" he asks. Why the fuck is he so nosey? I roll my eyes.

"Nothing. She just wanted to let me know that she's going to a party with Natalie" I answer putting away the shot glasses.

"And you're okay with that?"

"Why the hell wouldn't I be?"

"Because it's a party, man. With a lot of guys."

"Okay... And?" I turn around to say.

"Nothing. I'm just saying" he responds.

"I have nothing to worry about" I go back to washing the glasses.

"Alright, if you say so," he says shrugging.

At least I hope not...

Kylie's pov

After 20 minutes of driving, Natalie and I are finally at the party so we head to the rooftop where everyone is.

"I'm honestly surprised Cain agreed for you to go out with me" Natalie says.

"Why wouldn't he be ok with that?" I ask. I don't freaking need his approval to go out with my friends. He can't make that decision for me.

"I don't know. I'm just saying" Natalie responds.

"Anyway, I need to tell you something..." I tell her. But she looks past me and widens her eyes at what she sees.

I turn around to see what she's looking at, and there he is.

"Ryan?" I say surprised.

"Hey..." he says. Why the hell is he here?

"Um... Hi" I say shyly.

"I'm just gonna go over there, and... Yeah" Natalie says walking away. Is she serious? Why would she leave me here?

"So... How are you doing?" I think he asked. I don't know but I seriously am in shock. I thought I'd never see him again.

"What did you say? I can't hear you! The music is too loud here" I say. And he laughs.

"Then let's go somewhere else!" he yells so I can hear.
