A Toxic Relationship

I saw Cain almost every day after work and everything went great for a while. I figured I must have judged him to soon, and maybe he was a good guy after all.

But of course, the good didn't last that long...

Kylie's pov

"Are we seeing each other tonight or what?" I ask Cain over the phone. We haven't seen each other since a week ago.

"I'm sorry, babe, but I can't tonight. I'm going out with the boys. I promised them.

"Oh, I see. Well, I hope you guys have fun" I tell him.

"Thanks. What about you? Do you have any plans for tonight?" He asks.

"Nope. I think I'm just gonna stay home tonight"

"Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea" he immediately says. And something about what he said made me suspicious and angry for some reason.

"Alright then. I'll call you tomorrow, babe. Goodnight beautiful"

"Yeah, goodnight" I say with slight annoyance and hang up.

I lay in my bed for a while but then I hear my phone ding. I checked my phone and saw a text from Melanie asking me if I wanted to go out with her and Natalie.

So l was thinking, if Cain can go out then so can I.

But then again, I told him I wasn't going out. But I decided to go with them.

I go to my closet to find an outfit. I decided to wear a pink cheetah print dress with black boots. Then I do my makeup and decide to do more of a neutral look.

Right after I'm finished, I meet them outside and and greet them. "So where are we going?" I ask.

"We're going to the club where Edwin is" Melanie smirks.

"Wait what?! You're kidding me right?" I say in shock.

"No, I'm dead serious. I want to see what he's doing there" she leans all her weight on one foot.

"I don't really think that's a good idea. Cain is going to lose it" When he sees me, he's going to be so pissed. He's gonna think I lied to him because I told him I wasn't going anywhere tonight. "He's also gonna think I'm spying on him"

"No, he won't" Melanie sighs in frustration. "And don't you want to know what he's doing there as well" she asks.

"I know I sure as heck would if I had a boyfriend like Cain" Natalie adds.

"Come on, let's go"

When we arrived at the club, I prayed to God that I wouldn't see anything I didn't like.

Then when I turn around, I can see Melanie searching for them.

"Do you see them anywhere?" Natalie asks.

"Not yet"

Seconds later she widens her eyes letting us know that she had found them.
