"Please, please, please, please, please! I will do anything!" Elijah begs me. I have so much work to do. I don't have time for this.
"Elijah, I'm sorry I can't. We both still have work to do. After we finish with our work we can play, okay?" I try calming him down.

"Noooooooo, Mum is gonna make me bath when we are done with our work...then we can't play hidenseek in the garden. She won't want me to get dirty again, so we have to go now!" Elijah whines. I mean he does have a good explanation for a 10 year old.

"What do you think she will do when she realizes we didn't finish our work. She will ground us...and then we won't be able to play for an even longer amount of time." I counter back. I don't want to get into trouble...that lady is terrifying.

"I promise she won't find out...just a few rounds. Are u seriously eager to finish this. I can tell you're bored. We have been learning about royal families for the past two hours." He continues. He really has a point but if we get caught...I'll be in trouble for not setting the example. I'm three years older than him...I don't feel like getting lectured.

He gives me his puppy dog eyes and I break. Why do those always get me!?

"Okay Elijah just a few rounds...then we sneak back in and pretend we've been here the entire time. I could use a break." I tell him and see his face light up.

We sneak past all the guards and run into the courtyard. No one is around so we discuss who's gonna count first."I'm
Youngest, you should count first!" Elijah argues, but I'm not letting him win that easily." That doesn't mean anything...this was your idea, you count first!" I argue back.

He isn't just going to get his way because he is younger. Our parents already favor him...I only have so many victories, so I'm not going to fold."Okay, how about we do rock, paper, scissors...and whoever wins, gets to hide first." He provides a solution.

I agree with him, then we start playing. "Rock, paper, scissors...shoot!" We both say at the same time, and of course...I lose.

"Ha, I won fair and square...now go count!"
Elijah taunts. One day I promise  I am going to dropkick him down the stairs.
I go behind one of the corners, and start counting to twenty.

I get to one, and then I am off trying to find my annoying little brother. As the royal family, we don't get to make as many friends and other kids our age, so Elijah is my best friend. So ironic.

"Okay, I coming to find you now!" I shout out. There aren't many guards round this part of the castle, so no one will hear me.

I search around the walls and by this small pond. I can't seem to find him. Its been ten minutes and I'm getting tired. How is he so good at hiding.

"Elijah! I give up, can u come out now!" I shout, because there is no way I'm going to continue searching. "Elijah, I am tired...can we please just play another game.

No answer

Something is wrong.

"It's not funny anymore, come out...we have to go back inside." I wonder where he is. I really did search everywhere and now I'm starting to panic. My nerves are kicking in. I can't find him. What if he got hurt...what if he is unconscious. My brain is going crazy.

"Elijah! Elijah, come here now!" My voice starts cracking. Tears start pricking my eyes, but I won't let them fall. I'm probably just overreacting, right?

"Boo!"Elijah jumps on me and I fling him off.

I am furious.

" Where were you...I thought something happened!" I immediately scold him." I was on the roof...you were going to find me if I was on the ground." He explains...but I'm just so upset." How the fuck did you get on the roof!?" I shout, then decide that I don't want to deal with this so i start walking away. "Look, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to worry you." He starts jogging to keep up with my fast strides.

He wraps his arms around me in a tight hug, stopping me from waking further. "Scar, I'm sorry! Please don't be upset with me."

I hug him back."All right fine! You're forgiven... but never do that again because I am the one responsible for you. We have to go back inside now."

I don't want to stay angry.

He's all I've got.

Flashback over~

Present

Ouch...

Everything hurts.

What was I doing...my body is so sore. Memories of the chase and my escape flood my brain. I groan. I got shot with an arrow. I got shot with a fucking arrow. I am going to murder that person.

I try and open my eyes, but I can't see much. I'm surrounded in darkness. I try getting up but my paws have been chained. I'm still in my wolf form...I want to shift back. There's a noise to my right and an orange torch is lit and its hurting my eyes.

Bitch...

"Shift back into your human form...we have a lot to discuss." The voice rings out. I can't see who's talking but tingles spread throughout my body like earlier. Some clothes are thrown into the cell with me. How does he expect me to change if I'm chained up.

Idiot.

An extremely painful headache throbs against my skull and I can't move. I'm shrieking out in pain. There's a witch inside here with us. I am going to rip their arm off and shove it so far down their throat, they will be able to braid their intestines.

The chains are unlocked and then the gate is locked again. The headache subsides and I can see clearly again. I am not shifting In front of them, I'll be naked. I glare at them and they leave the room. Finally some privacy.

I shift back and quickly put on the clothes before they walk in. Major trust issues, I mean they are strangers. People walk back in...the wolves that chased me. The witch is gone though.
Five people stand in front of me...watching.

Maybe I can use my charm to get myself out of here.

"Open the gate, you dick!" I shout, my voice laced with anger.

So much for charm.
