I wake up to birds chirping and Ares' arms around me. We finally completed the bond, and I can sense the rest of the pack. Now I can mindlink them, so communicating will be easier. Especially for the plan I'm concocting.

I open my eyes and look around, finding Ares still wrapped around me. He is holding me tight and I'm hungry and want to go to the kitchen, all I need to do is slip out of his grasp and go downstairs.

Simple, right?

Wrong.

I grab onto his arm and gently try and take it off, but he isn't moving. I try again and his arm just won't budge. He turns over in his sleep and pulls me along too, to the other side of the bed. He basically just flipped us in his sleep and still isn't awake.

How?

Last night was amazing, and now we are finally properly together. I'll never have to be alone again.

His face falls into my neck and he burrows into my hair, bringing his arms higher up on my waist. I can feel his lips on my neck and wow...

It's making my mind feel funny...

He kisses up and along my neck and I moan a bit and slap my hand over my mouth in pure embarrassment. He is kissing me in his sleep.

Keep it together Scarlett...

Just climb out of his arms.

I try and get up, but he is still holding me. I look down and see he is still sleeping. He isn't awake and his kisses are making me loopy, it's so nice. I have to get up and change, but Ares won't let me go.

There are worse situations in the world...I just want food.

But it's so nice...

I hear Ares chuckle and look down to see him looking at me.

I now realize he was awake.

The entire time.

"How long were you awake? I ask, face flaming with embarrassment. I thought he was sleeping. He laughs at the look on my face and gets up to go change, the blanket falling off of his body

Wow, he is gorgeous.

I walk outside to help train some of the pups, Elias mentioned their interest in me. I walk down the steps of the pack house and spot a boy and a girl laughing with each other while collecting arrows. Reminds me of when Elijah and I used to train, but slack off because he was tired.

I go over and start gathering arrows with them for archery later.

The girl notices me and tackles me in a hug. She is blonde with bright blue eyes, she's so pretty. She couldn't be older than eight years old.

What is happening?

I don't even know her...

"You're Scarlett, right?" She asks excitedly, and turns around to bring the boy over to me. He looks nervous, but the girl has a bright smile and ignores his clear discomfort. Aw, shame.

"I'm Mila, and this is Teddy my brother." She tells me. They look so similar, I should've noticed the resemblance and put together that they're related.

"We're twins."

I smile down at them, they're so cute.

"You're our Luna right! You're so cool, you're an amazing fighter and you have cool eyes." She waffles on, and I smile politely to make Teddy feel better.

Kids...

"Can you show us your fae abilities?" Mila asks and is buzzing from joy. Teddy's eyes light up and I take that as  motivation. I want him to feel comfortable, I hate being put in awkward social situations, having to pretend you're okay when your mind is screaming to get out of there.
