I can't sleep...

I really am trying, but after what happened with Ares my mind is foggy.

My soulmate is in the other room and here I am, pretending I don't want him.

I am such an idiot.

But I'm scared...

The bond is going to keep pushing us together, until we are officially marked and mated.

It's like my body is fighting my mind and I want to give in. We are mates after all...but the thought of me being ripped away from him, from these people...sparks a whole new kind of fear.

Fear is a strong thing and it will make people do anything to eliminate it.

Even if it means making the wrong decision...

I wake up to birds chirping. I didn't really sleep much, I couldn't stop thinking of Ares.

Why did he have to be so hot...

Sophie knocks on the door, and let's me know that breakfast is ready. I freshen up in the bathroom and change into training clothes. I have to actually train...I hate training.

I always stressed myself, trying to do everything perfectly. Hopefully it won't be as bad as when I trained in Estiel.

I open the door and go downstairs where we ate dinner yesterday. I grab a plate and sit down. "Goodmorning everyone! What a beautiful day for training." Aaron's voice shouts from down the hall, and two seconds later he walks in with his arm around Kristen.

"Hey there, Ruby..." His eyes are filled with amusement. "I am going to break your nose if you keep calling me that." I tell him, holding eye contact.

The food comes out and everyone starts dishing up all kinds of breakfast foods, like scrambled eggs, Potatoes, pancakes–" So what training program are we going to do today?" Aaron asks looking at Elias.

Sophie is resting her head on his chest with her eyes slightly closed. Elias rests his chin on the top of her head and holds her to his chest. " We have to work on archery, agility, and general combat." Elias tells Aaron.

"Do you have experience with fighting?" Kristen asks, looking at me.

"Yes I do...I actually have lot of experience with fighting. My parents made sure I wouldn't be a weak Beta." I tell her, while grabbing a piece of toast.

"I wonder if our training methods are similar...I'm kind of the best fighter in this room." The room goes silent and all eyes fall on Aaron. He looks at everyone and then scowls." Ok whatever...I'm not that bad. I'd say I'm pretty good." He pouts.

"Of course you are, darling." Kristen kisses his cheek. He smiles brightly at her and he full on kisses her. This goes on for a very long time.

"Can you two stop making babies in the dining hall. Get a room." A voice says from behind them. Klaus then strolls in and pours himself a cup of coffee.

Breakfast continues on for a while...and there's no sign of Ares. I wonder what he's doing. We start walking to the door, but I pause thinking of the spell.

"You can go through...the spell has changed to the perimeters of the training fields. Both spells, they won't be able to find you." Elias says from behind me.

I give him a grateful look and walk outside, following the group. "Okay, so the older pack members will train on this field and the pups on the other." Elias instructs the group and they all walk to their designated fields.
