Chapter 12🌙

Everything is so peaceful...

I have never slept this well before...

I crack my eyes open and the sunlight shines through, into the room making everything sort of glow. I look next to me and a pillow lays where Ares was before. Theres a note left on the top.

I'm sorry, I had to leave early gorgeous

Was written in boyish hand writing. So he really was here last night. I was ready to believe I made the encounter up, and that I was going finally going crazy. I always thought I would go crazy, I just didn't think it would be so soon.

I get ready for the day and make my way downstairs. I find Sophie and Kristen sitting at the dining table. "Goodmorning... "I greet.

"Where is everyone?" I ask noticing Aaron, Ares, Elias and most of the guys gone. " They had to go sort some pack business..." Sophie explains, taking a sip of her coffee. I wonder what business they had to handle.

The room smells like blueberry muffins...and I grab one and practically inhale it. "So what's going to happen today? I ask." We are going to have a girls day while the boys are out. We can't continue with the training programs without an Alpha, Beta or Gamma."Sophie tells me.

I finish up with breakfast and Sophie pulls me into one of the rooms in the house."what are you doing?" I chuckle. "We are doing massages."

She shoves me in a closet and hands me a towel. "Put this on and then step out so we can go to the tables." I hear from the other side of the door.

I do say she says and walk out with my towel wrapped around my body. Kristen and Sophie are already in their towels. They smile as I approach. "Okay so are we all ready?" Sophie asks, cheerfully and she smiles bright.

I nod with a smile and Kristen says yes. We go to these special massage tables and lay down.

Three ladies walk in and stand by our tables. They start rubbing and massaging our backs. "That is sooo good" Sophie says.

"Mhm... totally agree" I can't even
Form words. My body is still sore from my fight with Elias yesterday.

We sit like that for an hour and then decide to go to the sauna. My question is why do they have a proper spa room in the pack house, but Kristen explains that training takes a lot out of them and sometimes they just need to relax.

They talk about their mates and a bunch of funny stories that are based on their relationships.

We laugh the entire time. Aaron is very troublesome. "Yeah, he practically kicked me off the bed in his sleep..." Kristen gets out trying to speak through the laughter.

The conversation is turned to me. "So Scarlett, what about you. Have you found your mate?"Sophie asks.

"I'm pretty sure Ares is obsessed with you..." she looks at me. I stare at her surprised, I don't know what to say to them.

"I don't know, the whole situation is kinda complicated..." I stare up at the ceiling.

"Look, anything worth while isn't going to be achieved easily." Sophie looks at me with an understanding smile.

"Let's get icecream, my body wants a treat." She says.

We get changed back into our clothes and walk to the kitchen. Kristen hands out mini tubs of icecream to each of us.

I take cookie dough, Sophie chocolate caramel and Kristen mint choc chip.

" I don't understand how you enjoy mint choc chip...it tastes like toothpaste." Sophie looks at Kristen.

"Does not!"she gasps.

We go to watch a movie. Today has been so relaxing, I've never had a day like this.

We watch rom-coms for the next while, adding comments when necessary. Then we decide we need some air...so we go for a walk.

"Let's walk around the lake and back..."Kristen suggests. "Okay..."I agree. "Sure!" Sophie says, and we start walking round the beautiful lake. It's so perfectly blue it looks unreal.

We walk silently and then Kristen trips and stumbles into the lake. We are dying of laughter my face hurts from smiling so much.

Sophie is in the ground clutching her stomach and starts snorting from laughing too much.

We all burst out into another fit of giggles because of it... Sophie hasn't seen Kristen sneaking up behind her. She yanks Sophie into the water and she falls in, completely shocked.

"How dare you!"She says to Kristen, who's face is red from laughing. I can barely breath and then they make their way to me.

"No, no absolutely not. Stay back! " I start backing away, but they're already out of the water stalking up to me.

I turn to run, but they grab my shoulders and pull me into the water with them. It's so cold and I start shivering...they can't stop laughing at the look of surprise on my face.

I use my fae abilities to splash at them and they are shocked. Sophie, lifts her hands and the water surrounds it, and comes hurdling to my face.

I completely forgot she isn't a werewolf, she is fae, and right now I wish I remembered.

"Heyyy...I don't have fae abilities." Kristen whines.

Someone clears their throat and our heads snap to the noise. Ares, Elias and Aaron watch us with small smiles.

"What are you guys doing?" Elias asks, staring at Sophie. "Kristen fell in and-" Sophie is cut off by Aaron." Let's go, cupcake!" He jumps into the lake and pulls Elias with him.

We watch in amusement and Elias scowls at Aaron. Aaron just has a satisfied grin and throws his head back laughing. We all turn to Ares.

"No...don't even think about it." He shakes his head. I raise my hands and channel the air element. The tips of my hair turns white and I can feel the energy gathered in my hands.

It starts getting windy and I bring my hands to the side abruptly, causing a fierce wind to knock Ares into the water. He glares at me and I just smile in victory.

He makes his way over to me and drags me further into the water. He is holding me by the waist and I'm trying to get out of his grasp...but can't focus because of the laughter.

My arms go around his neck and we smile at each other. Elias and Aaron do the same to Kristen and Sophie, and they go, kicking at screaming.

I am so happy...

Body buzzing from Ares hands...

I just get lost in the moment...
