"bye-bye hoon." irang sang-songed as she opened her arms to embrace the tall boy in front of her.

"i wish auntie let us enroll on the same university once we go to college." sunghoon pouted but accepted the hug either way, "i hate parting like this." he tightened the embrace before slowly letting go.

"it makes me feel like stupid men would flock over you again just like in middle school." both of them grinned. sunghoon ruffled irang's hair once more, causing the girl to glare at him for the third time this morning.

"i could care less about them, i only have eyes for a certain someone." irang smiled widely at the thought of her crush, heeseung.

sunghoon playfully scoffed. "don't reject all of the boys because of me, you'd end up being a single oldie if you do that."

irang also scoffed, now gently pushing sunghoon teasingly, "who said i was talking 'bout you?" irang narrowed her eyes.

"who else would it be?" sunghoon asked and raised an eyebrow, fighting the urge to frown at his bestfriend's statement.

who else would it really be? he was genuinely curious, but unfortunately, irang took it as a rhetorical question.

"i'll save you a front row seat at my wedding day, and i'm gonna make sure to quote you on my wedding message too." irang grinned.

"and to my bestfriend who told me i'd be a single oldie, watch me kiss my man, asshat."

irang laughed, and so did sunghoon, but a deep thought was hidden beneath the lad's chuckle. in the back of his mind, he can't picture the girl in front of her, kissing someone else.

he can't picture being in the very front of her wedding day, and mostly, he can't picture irang with someone else that's not him.

...

"if we get old enough and we still haven't found our soulmates. let's marry each other!" little sunghoon suggested.

they were at the playground, alone together as their parents dropped the both of them to play there.

"but hoon, when is old enough old enough?" little irang asked as she sat at the end of the slide.

sunghoon shrugged. "mommy says we fall in love in our twenties, so let's get married once we're twenty!" he said with much enthusiasm.

"alrighty then! i'll be your wife, and we'll have kids and take care of them!" little irang jumped off from the end of the slide excitedly and charged towards little sunghoon, who was sitting at a swing at that time.

"and i'll be your husband! i'll work and get so many money and come home and eat your food and play with our kids!" little sunghoon fantasized as little irang jumped and hugged him, her little body slowly sliding down to the dirt.

she was now kneeling in front of little sunghoon and held out her pinky upto his face.

she looked up at him with her sparkling doe eyes, "pinky promise hoonie?"

sunghoon smiled widely. "pinky promise irang!"
