heeseung was speechless, and so was irang. both of their hearts broken, just one more shattered than the other. irang's eyes widened when she realized what she said.
"heeseu—" she tried to explain, but heeseung nodded as tears sting his eyes. his stomach churned, and it felt suffocating to even breathe.
"right from the start, i really didn't have a chance, didn't i?" he laughs sarcastically with a shaky voice, lips quivering from the overwhelming emotions he was feeling.

irang knew she was the one in the wrong.
"chose me over him?" heeseung scoffed. "don't be so funny here, irang. yeah i'm your boyfriend. yeah, he's your bestfriend— but couldn't you see why i was so jealous?"

"i only ever felt like a bestfriend to you while you always talk about sunghoon as if he's the one you always were to kiss and hug. i liked you for 2 years irang! ...and maybe I was just fucking stupid"

"right from the start, the both of you were too close to only be bestfriends. that was why i was trying to set the two of you apart. that's why i always made my feelings known by him and by you." heeseung broke down into tears, eyebrows furrowed as he looked at irang, who remained silent and frozen before him.
"but maybe.. i was- i was..." heeseung wept tears. "maybe i was trying too hard. at the end of the day, i was just pushing myself into you."

"and it hurts me knowing that your mind only chose to like me because you want to get rid of your feelings for your bestfriend, because you knew that it would destroy your friendship."
"i... i'm tired of pushing myself into your heart that already has sunghoon in it. i'm done..."
