it's been a week. irang woke up with heavy arms wrapped around her waist. she slept at sunghoon's house once again. as her eyes slowly open, she looked at the man beside her, sleeping with a small frown and a cute little pout.
their fight only lasted for a day, because the moment they went home from school, they were already sulking and hesitant to reach for each other.
gosh, do they have attachment issues over one another?
ㅤ
"hoon," she slightly shook him with a small smile. "wake up." her slim fingers lightly tapped on his exposed arm thanks to the loose white tank top he's wearing.
the soft light of the morning sun dimmed by the thin white curtains kissed his porcelain skin so beautifully and it highlighted the muscles on his bicep.
irang is always amused to see sunghoon and his now well-built body. she can still clearly remember back in the days where she was the taller one and sunghoon was so small and thin.
ㅤ
"nghh... it's a saturday irang, let me sleep." sunghoon grunted with his raspy morning voice before reaching for the pillow under him and hovering it over his head.
ㅤ
"but you promised me last week." irang puckered her lips and shook his body harder, but the boy didn't respond anymore.
sitting up, she glared at the figure of the boy who turned his back on her.
"why do you keep getting my hopes up?" she jumped over sunghoon's body and rolled around, forcing the man to stir up from his slumber.
ㅤ
"irang— stop," sunghoon warned as his eyebrows furrowed, his body trying to gently shove the girl from his body, but irang only stuck to him like a koala.
"iraaanngg." sunghoon groaned as his back is now fully against the bed, with irang squeezing his body, her arms and legs wrapped around his torso.
well, to say the least at the time, he didn't get to resist his bestfriend in the end.

...
ㅤ
so now, they're right in front of the icecream parlor, eyes puffed and mouths yawning. even so, there's no such things as not being in the mood for icecream.
at least for both of their world there aren't.
ㅤ
"let's go let's go let's go let's go!" irang hopped around like a child as she purposely waves her hand that's intertwined with sunghoon's in a wild manner.
"irang, i swear to god you're gonna break my arm. calm down!" sunghoon scolded as they made their way to the usual icecream parlor.
ㅤ
unfortunately today, they didn't meet byunseo. irang was slightly saddened. she would want to see sunghoon and his heart shaped eyes. well, i better just matchmake them next time!
they ordered mint choco and tiramisu, before sitting right at their usual spot. however, irang felt a little off with sunghoon's mood lately.
for the past few days.. he was being distant.
ㅤ
"hoon." she called as she took his hands that were resting by the table. usually, he'd immediately smile and play with her fingers, sometimes even making her hold his face and cup it.
ㅤ
but the guy only smiled faintly and hummed. "hmm?" he looked at her, and for living all of their years together, irang knew something was bothering sunghoon.
"am i being too clingy to you?" she asked, full of worry. but sunghoon only shook his head.
if there's something irang hates most, it's making sunghoon upset. for her whole lifetime, she'd want it to spend with sunghoon.
and even the smallest frown in sunghoon's face makes her scared, afraid that she wouldn't be able to do that.
ㅤ
"then am i annoying you?" she asked again, and sunghoon only shook his head again too.
she was growing frustrated, overly concerned and pained to see that clearly, there's something wrong between them. but sunghoon doesn't want to show what he wants and doesn't want when she, herself, is giving her full understanding and willingness to fix things.
ㅤ
"so why does it seem like you hate me?" she breathed deeply as her frown deepens.
"i don't hate you, irang." sunghoon sighed at his shirt answer.
he closed his eyes, as if he was trying to keep himself from saying something, as if trying his best not to look at irang's pained eyes. what is he trying to keep himself from expressing?
ㅤ
irang bit her lips at the sight of her very own bestfriend, holding back on something that she felt like it could hurt her.
for once, can sunghoon think of himself and not her? she's getting pressured everytime because of it. "is it about last week? sunghoon you know i didn't mean what i sai—"
ㅤ
"you like heeseung hyung, right?"
ㅤ
"yeah... w-why'd you ask?" irang put sunghoon's hands down and looked at sunghoon through her eyelashes. she's growing uncomfortable of the unrecognized tension between them. for some reasons, there's something about sunghoon's lingering gaze that she could understand.
why does she sense like he's hurting?
ㅤ
ㅤ
ㅤ
"well... he likes you too, irang." sunghoon said with sadness hidden in his tone.
