irang now wanders alone in the cafeteria, by now, most students have already gone home, so the cafeteria was only filled with teachers finally getting their break, some students staying late for the day to study, and staffs who are cleaning the mess students made hours ago.

it has already been dismissal time 30 minutes ago yet she remained as the captain ball of her team. she was guiding the players with a lot of improvements to make.

and right now, the sole reason of her mere existence at the cafeteria is that she wanted to treat her co-players who worked hard and accepted criticism earlier.

she may be easy-going, but she's meticulous when it comes to performance. irang applauds her teammates who are not discouraged of her harsh practices and instead worked hard to prove that they are worthy of being her teammate.

"eight blue gatorades and ten cream puffs please." she said to the cashier and shortly after being given her order, she paid for it then left.

as she walked at the hallways and make her way back to the volleyball court.

"baby, i wanna eat right now." whined a random girl at the end of the hallway.

"aww, is my baby hungry? are you craving for tteokbokki?" answered her boyfriend before quickly pinching her cheeks.

the sight makes irang frown.

sunghoon invites me to that tteokbokki stall whenever i crave for it. it felt lonely without the thoughtful sunghoon by her side, and she'll be sure to tell him once they meet at night later on.

but why would those lovers remind her of sunghoon though? moreover, why does it seem like she misses sunghoon every hour? as if meeting daily isn't enough, as if there's something missing in their friendship.

"boo! "

"AH!"

someone startled irang from behind, causing for the girl to jump and let go of the bag of gatorade she was holding.

"...oops, sorry." a masculine voice chuckled apologetically. she turned around, only to find that it is the only and only, lee heeseung.

he's wearing his basketball jersey, irang guessed that since sports fest is nearing again, the basketball team are also staying to practice more.

"oh.. heeseung." irang stammered as he looked at the boy. heeseung only smiled before kneeling down in front of her and picking up the fallen bottles of the blue drink.

"practicing for the sports fest?" heeseung queried the obvious, but irang nodded nonetheless.

her heart was beating fast, faster than when adrenaline shoots in her veins during a fiery volleyball match.

"i don't get why you still practice for it, your team wins everytime!" heeseung exclaimed while they both pushed past the door exit, only to be met with the blinding sun.

irang giggled while they continued to walk, "the same goes for your team."

the boy beside her shrugged and smiled widely, "our team would be sent to sunshine city school for an intermediate competition. i heard there are sporty newbies recruited in their team so yeah, it's better to be safe than sorry."
