irang was exhausted, drained, and just overwhelmed at the moment. these days, things were just piling up, and irang— the usually quick witted and organized girl— found herself struggling to compete with her own schedule.

her volleyball team members are surely worried for her, especially when she shouted at them after constant mistakes. irang was never one to shout. sure, she'd scold them, but it was always in a decent manner.

halt the training, talk to each members, assess what's wrong, and try to make things better for each other. that's how irang usually leads. but these times, she'd just shout around, storm off, or break down into tears.

everytime they try to ask her what's, she'd either pretend that nothing was ever wrong, or she'd push them away. it went on and on for a week now.

no one has absolutely any idea what was happening, and when irang blew her cool again— they knew something is definitely up. so, their last resort was to consult heeseung.

heeseung, on the other hand, was trying his best to understand his girlfriend. he, too, has absolutely no idea why irang always felt tired, drained, or even depressed for that matter.

if only he knows, that it's only the starting effects of being away from you energy charger (which is sunghoon, when it comes to irang).

if only he knows that sunghoon is that one person irang solely depends her mood, energy, and day from. then maybe he would think again about the consequences of making irang feel like she needed to choose between him and sunghoon.

"irang." heeseung calls at the absent-minded girl, who was looking blankly at the food he prepared.

"hm?" irang blinked a few times, before looking at heeseung with a pokerface.

"what are you so in deep in thought for?" heeseung queries while irang slowly looked away. she was already growing upset, for no reason at all. but perhaps, she just needed to be alone... or she just needs a certain company to keep her at peace.

"i'm just thinking of..." she hesitated.

"nothing.." irang decided to lie, knowing it was better than having to deal with a fight that always result to the same thing.

"seriously irang, this is not you..." heeseung sat straight and faced irang, hands gently reaching out to make her face him. "even your teammates are growing worried. what's bothering you?"

irang only chuckled at his question and drifted off a little far from her boyfriend. "it's not like i could really tell you.."

"irang, i'm your boyfriend. you can tell me literally everything." heeseung uttered with pain hinting in his words. of course he'd be hurt. his own girlfriend doesn't even trust him.

meanwhile, irang only sighed, knowing where this conversation would go.

"it's about sunghoon, okay?" she says and expectantly looked at heeseung, whose frown grew worse as he processed what irang said.

"...again? " heeseung's eyebrows furrowed, now growing upset over irang's attitude.

irang scoffed. "see? and you're telling me that i can tell you everything?" she smiled sarcastically as she crossed her arms.

"only sunghoon ever stick up to his words, maybe that's what you should always envy him of." irang was going too far, and desite the stress she's been out into, heeseung did not deserve this.

she knew that, but she still acted on impulse... and said things she didn't mean.

"if you like me just for what i seemed when my own bestfriend was still around, then i'm sorry to tell you that she's not here anymore. yeah, i'm at fault in this relationship."

"but you don't know sunghoon's importance to my life. you think that i'm all clouds and rainbows. your outward actions made me feel pressured to choose you, when truthfully— i would've chosen sunghoon instead. "
