The Wait

Chapter 5

The day after the party was Sunday. So, I had church of course.

I woke up and hopped in the shower.Then I picked out my clothes.

I'm wearing a white crop top with an coral blue, high waisted skirt.

I made sure that skirt was high waisted so you wouldnt see any stomach.

I also wore some white sandels and I curled my hair.I put on light makeup too.

Then, I went downstairs and grabbed a pop tart and jumped into the car.

" Jesus told us to love one another," John said.

Im right now in the high school sunday school class.

Im sitting next to Maria and across from Luke.Luke is sitting next to his friend Mark.

Todays topic is love if you couldn't tell.

I felt Maria tap me on my shoulder. I looked over and she whispered in my ear,",That means Luke loves you."

"Be quiet," I whispered blushing.

I sat quietly listening to the rest of lesson untill it was over.

When it was done, me and Maria walked to her car because I was going to her house today.

Maria already has her own car and license because she was sixteen.

I don't yet, because Im still 15. I cant wait though!

On our way home we stopped at Panera Bread to eat.

Me and Maria ordered our food,than sat down.

" Would you like to pray?" Maria asked me.

"Sure," I answered.

"Dear Lord, Thank you for this beatiful day. Thank you that me and Maria are able to hang out today too. Please bless this food to our bodies so that we won't choke or get sick. Also please help me get through The Wait. Amen." I prayed.

" Amen?" Maria questioned.

"What," I asked.

But then I had noticed what I had just prayed about.

Maria knows that I like Luke, but not about this process I made up.

"What am I going to do?" I thought.

"Whats The Wait," Maria asked.

"Well, I said,"I kinda made up this journey that Im going through untill something happens between me and Luke."

There was a small pause of Maria just staring at me.

"What is she thinking?" I thought,"What if she thinks Im crazy?"

" Thats so brilliant,"she shouted.

She throw her hands around me neck from across the table.

" Thats awesome,Maggie," Maria said," that you acually take all this seriously."

" Well thanks,I said," Because I really do."
